You can trade Pokémon but you must buy an item from the item shop.It's called Netplay.If you want to see it it's under Accessories and costs 25000 so you should be saving a lot.its still in a beta though but I would still try to get it. I hope this helped

So the answer is this. You cannot evolve them via trade. You will have to play one of the hack versions of the game that has all of the Pokemon available to catch.
