So while playing on Google Maps (Trying to Find Davids house, and no, i didn't. Prescott isn't mapped )

I did however find a store setup i envy, one that will (to my knowledge) never exist in Australia. And it is SO simple, combining my two favorite type of stores in the world.

I was going to screen shot it, but this would be more fun...

Click, Stree View. (Do that by clicking on the Yellow Man in the top left of the image) Face the direction the Van is heading (Towards the Sun (the big bright thing on the picture!)) and then turn to the RIGHT. I thought, maybe we could ALL share some funny stuff or things you found in other countries on Google Maps. Ill even teach you how to fill int he Street Address in the hyperlink!

How To:

Define the "Search" field on Google Maps

1) Enter the existing URL.
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en
(If you want to change the language, feel free too but this is default to English)

2) enter this to the END of the URL.
&q=##Enter Street##

3) Heres an example:
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=172 Broad St N, Prescott, WI, United States

Which will reformat to

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=il&q=172%20Broad%20St%20N,%20Prescott,%20WI,%20United%20States

Yeah IceWave, you can actually URL to the exact image you're viewing on Google Maps.

Anyway, yes that would be down town Prescott (town I live in). A few months back me and Jigsaw spent like hours looking on Google 3D Maps and were just finding tons of cool and/or funny stuff. I was meaning to make this thread months ago so I'm glad someone did, this will be a lot of fun.

Another fun thing to do is use Google 3D maps to find actual locations from movies. I used IMDB (and google) to find the address of some of the locations in the Rocky movies and was able to find most of them on the Google 3D Maps (including the rocky steps) and it was pretty sweet.
