Today I just got a new computer, cause our last one was totally messed up. We thought it was viruses, cause ever sense I started playing on vizzed retro games, my computer started acting up, and weird messages started showing up. this is really bad cause 70 percent of my time on vizzed is playing retro games.

so is there anyway I can deal with this problem ?

Try downloading Malware-Bytes Anti Malware suite, and see if it comes up with anything.

haitamchouiekh : Also try tdsskiller from kaspersky and ESET Online Scanner.  TDSskiller is a rootkit cleaner and ESET online scanner is a free scanner that runs through your browser.  Both free and very good.

I use Malware Bytes Anti Malware free version and AVG free version and those two keep my computer spiffy clean. The AVG program has a root kit scan you should also do because root kits are usually hard to find and do a lot of damage to your computer. Also these programs will tell you where these viruses/malware/rootkits are coming from so you get a better idea of what is causing your problems and maybe avoid those sites.

I had computer problems.  I clicked on one image in Google Images and it screwed my computer up.  When I knew I was screwed by the virus, I used that Anti Malware stuff (or the stuff all the other people on here comment on) I actually paid for it =P It isn't necessary to buy it, I was just so stressed out.  I also have Kaspersky, which is a bit overprotective, but we had a computer tech person come over, and he told us to get it.  You can also get it on your phone!  Don't buy Norton or Mcafee or whatever it is.  It's really bad, I've had them before!

Malwarebytes is an excellent program as others have mentioned, but let me also recommend you get Avast anti-virus as well. It's free and both of these working side by side, has kept my laptop running smoothly. Just make sure you go to the official sites when you download, and not from some dodgy link.

Another thing that I've noticed that went unmentioned:

Do NOT get more than one Anti-Virus service. This would be services like AVG, Avast!, and Norton. MalwareBytes and programs like it are not Anti-Virus; they're anti-Malware and are not running constantly like Avast!

Personally, I use Avast! and MalwareBytes for protecting my computer. It's a good idea to also never click on the ads. They have a nasty habit of being riddled with viruses, malware, spyware, and especially adware. What you probably experienced was adware or malware.

Try downloading AVG 2013 (Free Edition). I use it and I never get any viruses and it detects them right away! Let me know if it works out for you.

redjj :

Actually, turning a computer off and back on when viruses are suspected to be a problem can cause more issues if you don't know what you're doing. It's better not to suggest something about a topic that you may not necessarily understand. No offense intended; I'm just letting you know that that suggestion, although thought of to be a wonderful idea, actually isn't the best idea in the world.

I used to believe that turning a computer off would fix problems like this. I was informed of what I mentioned above by my IT teacher.

I have my own 3 ways to get rid of viruses that i would be happy to share ..

Method 1 : System Restore
System restores are a good way to get rid of light malware and spyware programs. They require no downloading of any software and can be performed directly by Windows. System restores work best if you catch the intrusion right away. But, you do not want to do a system restore if you believe that you have had malware, spyware, or viruses on your computer for any significant amount of time. This could cause you to lose files, applications, or data. To do a system restore in Windows, navigate to the control panel using the path Start > Control Panel. Click the Recovery icon located within the Control Panel and hit the Open System Restore button on the next screen.

Method 2 : Scanning
There are thousands of different programs out there in the spyware/virus removal category, many of which are free. The thing to remember is that different virus removal programs will bring different results; and none of them are 100% completely accurate.
For example, you can scan your computer with one virus removal program, remove the viruses… then turn around a scan your computer with a different program, which will catch even more viruses that the first program didn’t pick up.
However, you do not want to stack tons of virus removal programs on top of each other. Doing so can actually throw off effectiveness. One good antivirus scanner should be enough.

Method 3 : Clean Install

A clean install is not the most fun thing to do. However, a clean install is the one guaranteed way to get rid of viruses, spyware, and malware. It’s simple… when you do a clean install, you are deleting everything on your hard drive. Thus, no more viruses.
Most of the time, viruses will not infect items like pictures, text documents, videos, or MP3 files. If step 2 (scan), is not working for you, more than likely the virus is in your computer’s registry. This is good because you can backup all of your pictures, documents, etc… before doing the clean install. That way you will not lose anything important.
