I used the F2 function key to save the game state, but when I came back on my game was not saved. Nothing happened with I pressed F4 to load the saved game. Is this not the way it's supposed to work? Is there an actual way to save the game? Any information is much appreciated

Thanks a lot, I hope someone will help me out here. It's kind of frustrating, I played the game for 2 hours and then it didn't save. Don't really like that at all .

browntown : Make sure that your Fkeys do not have other MAIN functions tied to them as primary. IF they do, you may have to hit the Fn key on your keyboard, THEN hit F2 or F4.

Try that and it should fix your issue.

Also it's suggested that you save in game and then use f2... also make sure you give the emulator enough time to actually save the game as well.

Thanks everyone, someone at work helped me out and I'm able to save and load successfully. He told me to save in-game and then use the save in the menu. Thanks everyone.

To successfully save a game file, simply press F2 and wait for "save state complete" to appear near the bottom of the game screen (next to pause, reset, close.) Once you see that, click "close" and wait for the emulator to successfully stop. Then you could X out the game screen. If you do it incorrectly it most likely won't save. Now to load a saved file, once the emulator starts press F4. That's how you properly save and load game files.

Also, there are some Pokemon hacks that don't save. I know from personal experience with Pokemon Chaos Black. Perhaps that could be an issue.

Anyway, I hope this helps.
