Wally and May showed up just as I was going to enter the gym so we decided to challenge the gym leader together. I was a bit shocked to see just how much of a bookworm Roxanne really is. The only place with no books was the battle arena and that's only because it was used often.

"You could really use some more books Roxanne."

As expected she simply glared but then shrugged it off and muttered something about a mindless brute. I'm not mindless, I'm very smart when the situation calls for it! She was going pay for that comment.

I decided to make her pay for insulting me in the most painful way possible and here's a hint. It involves lots and lots of fire.

"Go Crimson! Let's melt some rock!"
Crimson: "CHARMELEON!

Wait did she really just laugh at Crimson? Oh hell no.

"Crimson let's go all out!"

She seemed to pale a bit when Crimson's black tail flame got bigger then his own body. Good reaction.

"Crimson let's break these puny rocks! Metal Claw on Nosepass and fire pin the last Geodude by firing Embers!"

The attack hit and the Nosepass lost such a large chunk of it that it simply stopped moving thanks to the Mud-slap from earlier.
The Geodude was trapped by the fire melting the rocks around it and May had a clear shot.

Me: "My flame is the flame that will burn to the heavens!"
Roxanne: " What? But ... how? Did my team even land a hit?! Whatever take the badges."
Me:"Thanks for the badge and I believe you owe me an apology."
Roxanne: " Fine I'm sorry for insulting your intelligence. That was a great strategy to immobilize my last two Pokemon.
Me: "Later Roxanne, and thanks for the badge!"

And so we each got a badge and I left before she realized one of Crimsons Embers hit some of her books.

I decided to train since Hilacle had the situation under control.

After slaughtering some wild Pokemon and defeating some trainers Crimson, Liger, Aero, Scarlet, and Azure got to level 22.

While reading the map I noticed an area that was labeled as a danger to weaker trainers because of the strong wild Pokemon so I went there to train myself and got to level 16 suddenly I wished I was in a really hot place but since there was no areas like that nearby I ignored it.
All of a sudden I saw Azure flash.
"Azure you're evolving!"

In a great flash of pure white energy her horn split into two and she changed to look more like a ballerina.

"All right you're a Kirlia!"

As expected she acted a bit shy but she was happy enough to smile alot.

Since May was off doing something and Wally just vanished I decided it was time to go towards the next gym. I simply flew over the forest but after getting bored I used fire to shoot towards a tiny island south of the forest. Once I got there it looked like hell broke loose. People were either hiding inside, dead, or panicking. I decided to ask the gym leader what was wrong (the guy seemed sad for some reason) and he told me that Team Aqua and Magma were causing havoc in the town. He told me they were based in the cave so I went in to stop them.

Several wild Pokemon and Team Grunts later I was level 19. Sadly by the time I got to the bottom the leaders had escaped through an underwater passage and there was no way for me to catch up underwater. The town thanked me for helping them but I still felt bad that I couldn't get the leaders.
