I thought of this late last night, and I figured, why not make an interesting diary so to speak? Note that I make it at an interesting angle, you'll see as I write, as I'm writing as if I was actually with the characters and stuff, you'll see what I mean, I'm writing this just for fun though, but still it will give an insight what I've seen and experienced. I'll also use some images for some parts, so here we go, My life through the History of Gaming. Also take note the pictures I use may not match what I say once in awhile, but these pictures are just taken from various places. Also note that I'll talk a little more stuff than just about games.

I have come a long way from just being a random wanderer. Long have I wandered from world to world, battle to battle. Who would have thought I would have the spirit of the warrior come to me at such a young age? What age I was when my memory kicked in was around five or so. By the time I came around, my other siblings already had access to many worlds with with the aid of a device called the NES which acted as a way to enter worlds within certain cartridges. (In a way the game cartridges did hold worlds in them)
I visited many worlds, but my skill as a warrior was yet to be at its fullest. In one of these worlds, I helped the plumber named Mario rescue a Princess.

Though we didn't succeed most of the time, we still rescued her a few times. We also had access to a world called Metroid, and me being absent minded didn't know who was under the armor.
Of course how was supposed to know? The person never uttered a word to me, possibly because of how young I was so the person didn't take me seriously. But we managed to travel a good ways together, but I never managed to get us to the end. During one of the times I watched my brother fight in this world, I witnessed something, I saw that he wasn't fighting alongside the armored figure, but a girl! Still being absent minded I thought she was a different person, and I foolishly thought she really had green hair, not knowing it was the result of an armor upgrade. My brother then gave me access to where I can work alongside the girl. When I introduced myself she was a little shocked, I thought it was because I was a kid, but it was because I didn't know it was her under the armor. And also what made me think she was a different person was because she had a special beam weapon, and had rockets! Of course I didn't know you could find them, because I never found any during my time with her in the armor, because I hadn't mastered searching yet. She said nice to meet you, and did a firm shake with my hand. "Come on, lets see how well you can get us through this," she said. Though I was in a different area, I was as ready as I was back then. We traveled through many places and took on every enemy that came are way.

After awhile, we actually reached the end, because the thing that gave me access to fight alongside her without the armor was when she had already taken out two of the bosses. The next area gave me the willies, not so much as the layout, but the music, and the creatures for the worlds namesake. I didn't know how to fight them when I first entered, but then I was told I had to freeze them, then shoot them with rockets. I did manage to get us to the final boss, but I wasn't good enough to beat it. But then one time, I saw my brother do it with her in the armor. At at the time, I still didn't know they were the same person, until she removed her armor after she escaped. I was shocked! And all this time I thought they were two different people. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, but you do have the makings of a great warrior, you just have to sharpen your skills a bit. It may take some time, but I believe in you, you managed to get me close to the end before after all," she said. A while later and I did beat the boss, but I failed to escape that time, but I managed to win awhile later. But my skill was very weak still. We had access to many worlds, such as Mario's second adventure, and at the time we were watching a world called the X-Men. And we had access to one of the heroes battles, the X-Man known as Wolverine. At the time I didn't know how to read yet, so I had to go by appearance, so though his outfit was a bit different, his mask was still the same, also I couldn't forget his claws. I was fairly good in the world of Terminator 2, but yet I couldn't beat it, but I could get to the last area. "Your skill is slowly improving, you just need to work on your timing, and reflexes a little," the terminator said. Skill and timing, yes, those need a major improvement to be a great warrior. Of course other skills that needed improvement were knowing how to be sneaky, and how to look for items. And what better world to test these skills then the world of Metal Gear? Snake was a bit reluctant to take me along, and who could blame him? Only my brother had what it took to make it through at the time, I never even came close to beating that world, but I saw my brother do it.

I witnessed a lot from my siblings, and I slowly but surely sharpened my skills. During one of the real world trips I took with my family, we came home with a new world device called the Sega Genesis, along with a cartridge that led to a world which sharpened my skills a bit, the world of the legendary Sonic the Hedgehog!
I shook hands with Sonic and he smiled back. "You look like you have some experience, but you still haves a ways to go, of course so do I, lets run down this road together!" he said. So we worked together and managed to beat Robotnick, but I didn't collect the Emeralds, but I witnessed others do it. It was a beautiful sight to see the Emeralds glow in his hands before they vanished. Some how that gave him the ability in his second adventure to transform into Super Sonic! Soon Sonic's third adventure came out, and I managed to beat that one, and gather the emeralds too.
"You're skill is slowly but surly improving, as are mine, we still have a long road ahead of us," Sonic said. "So are my abilities, hopefully you'll harness your full potential, as I hope to someday harness the power of the Emeralds myself," Tails added. "I never told you this, but I've been looking for a particular warrior," I said. Around that time, I witnessed a world with a warrior in blue armor called Mega Man. He appealed to me for some reason, and with a book called Nintendo Power, (Which is sort of gaming news which gives you articles about recently released games or gives you hints and clues about certain games) that I found out that I could access some of his adventures. But the cartridges that would allow me to enter his world eluded me for a long time. During one of my visits to a family members house, I found out about the device called the Super Nintendo. Of course I have already found out about it through Nintendo Power, but still I actually saw one. I even had a Game Boy, but not very many of those worlds interested me. Through this device I rejoined Mario in his forth adventure, as I recognized him by his red hat and blue overalls, as I still couldn't read yet. And there was another title that I tried, because I couldn't read I didn't notice who it was on the box as he looked so different, but when I reached the title screen, and standing next to the text, was a relative to the the warrior that I was looking for! How I found out he was a relative was because my cousin told me his name was Mega Man X, and that he was very different from Mega Man. He wasn't kidding compared to what I saw of his adventures that were talking about in Nintendo Power, note that I went by the pictures, and I knew Mega Man could charge his buster, and found out so could X. But one thing that Mega Man couldn't do was wall jump. "The way you're working with me, it's as if you've worked with the original all along!" X said. I had never touched the world of Mega Man, I've only seen it from afar. I still longed to work with the original, but I knew I had to wait. Soon I entered the first stage of home computers, which was very basic at the time. I did very little with it. I spent my time with many of the other warriors and worlds that we had, and the ones that were still coming. One world soon entered our home for the Genesis, the third chapter of Phantasy Star. At the time I only watched my other siblings play, though I couldn't read yet, I was still intrigued none the less. Such a world that could be retold by ones actions was very interesting to me. Soon I knew I had to figure out how to read, it didn't take long, but I learned. I fought alongside many warriors before the age of computers began to make a change. We soon got access to the internet. I wasn't aloud onto it, but my brother found something that introduced me to a world that he once played before. The world of Castlevania. He had found an emulator that played NES cartridges that could be downloaded on the internet. Castlevania, the one where Simon Belmont was the main hero, was the first one I was introduced to, and it was the first title. "Your skills are quite good, but allow me to help you sharpen them further," Simon said. So we worked our way through the castle, true my skill had improved greatly by the time I was introduced to this world, but my timing was still off. Soon I learned that you not only need good reflexes, but you also need good memory, to remember what an enemy can do, it's moves, how fast the attacks are, what the affects do, and how much damage they do. I had to learn all of these, and I soon did. It was also thanks to my brother if I recall correctly, when I was still to young to go on the internet, he offered to help me find a "rom" as they call them, of a world I would like to try. The chance was never better, I took it. "The first Mega Man," I replied. Soon it was found and downloaded. "I hear you've been waiting to join up with me. Well, let's go!" Mega Man said after he shook my hand. I was put to the test, my skills greatly improved thanks to him.

Mega Man helped me hone my skills, I began to master side scrolling realm. But I still had some trouble with the overhead worlds, but I still enjoyed them. As we had found a rom for the first Legend of Zelda!
Though I had a rough time with it, it helped me hone my skills, I was getting beter and better. I traveled to many other worlds once I was old enough to travel the internet, I became one of the many nameless wanderers. Thanks to the rom pages, I was able to access worlds the I couldn't enter before, but always wanted to, sharpening my skills, meeting new allies all along the way. Soon the world of 3d began to enter the fray, but I was completely unaware of it at first. Or rather I was aware of it, thanks to my brother bringing in titles for the pc, but I was unaware of the device called the PlayStation. But during one year, the Sega Saturn entered our home, and a few titles came in, but none really interested me, but then one world came in that I watched from beginning to end, Resident Evil. My brother worked with great diligence to get all the unlockables, he made charts and timed himself to get the fasted time, and how to conserve ammo and save very little. One year, my brother downloaded Castlevania 3, but due to the nature of some roms and emulators, it didn't run quite right. Awhile later my brother left for a place called LAN War for a computer game tournament, I knew is he was going to be away for awhile. During that time on one of our travels, we found a copy of Castlevania 3, and a copy of Super Metroid. Though a tiny bit different, I recognized Samus's armor. Castlevania 3 helped sharpen my skills a bit more, and Super Metroid put me to another test. I wasn't aware that there was a Metroid for Game Boy, but I found out as Samus told me on her ship. I then saw the little hatchling, though small, the memories of the full grown ones haunted me. We dropped off the hatchling and soon departed, I wasn't sure where we were headed next. But then an alarm blared.
"The station is under attack!" Samus exclaimed. "The hatchling!" I added. Samus turned the ship hard and headed right back for the station.
"Come on (My real name), we have another adventure ahead of us," Samus said. It was a true test for me, to see two of the bosses from our first adventure now jumbo sized, or at least Kraid was, was a real eye opener. It was also strange on how much the planet has changed, but I guess the layout changed over the years and new passages opened up.

I figured I would have to face the Metroids again, but not even all the foes we've faced could have prepared me for what happened next.
Mother Brain as I found out, had altered the Metroid hacthling, it attacked us both and nearly killed us, but it remembered Samus just before it sucked her dry of energy. It then hovered off while making noise that sounded like it was in pain, in a way it was, it was upset because it had harmed the one who it thought was it's mother. We soon took on Mother Brain again, but I wasn't quite prepared for what happened next. Mother Brain had transformed right before our eyes, into one of the most ugliest things I've ever seen! We quickly hammered her with everything we got, but no one alive at the time could have told me about the attack the she had up her sleeve. Nearly killing us, the hatchling saved us by stopping Mother Brain from attacking again, and drained a lot of her energy. I thought it was over when she turned gray like the other creatures that the hatchling killed, but no, she was alive, and unleashed a barrage of attacks on it, there was nothing we could do while the Metroid gave the energy it stole into us. It gave its life for us, and the energy it poured into Samus, was none other then the energy from Mother Brain's most powerful attack, and it was now her's, Mother Brain had met its match. We escaped again but not before we saved the creatures that helped us learn new moves. Once we were safe, Samus removed her armor again, and untied her long hair. "Well done, your skills have improved a lot since we last worked together, I'm impressed. But you're still quite young, and that leaves room for more improvement, and more talent. Who would have thought the will of a warrior would go to someone so young," Samus said. "I'll see you next mission, till next time," she added before leaping out of sight. A sense of accomplishment yet a bit of grief filled my mind. I fought many more battles since then, and my brother had come back before the final battle with Mother Brain. Soon my brother graduated, and he was given Castlevania 3, and a PlayStation. If memory serves I wasn't even aware that thing was even in the house before hand. This was the first time I really saw things called Demos, as there was a cd that came with it that had a bunch of demos and videos for various worlds. There were demos that I played a lot, one was a squeal to the world Gex which I played many years before. The other was Pitfall 3d. The years went by, and we got more worlds to enter for the PlayStation. One day, my brother got wind of a title coming out, which he was very excited about. It was the third installment or rather the third one to come to our shores, Metal Gear Solid. He was surprised about it because it was so long ago since another title for that series came out. He then got hold of a demo which we sharpened our skills on. I messed around so well on the demo, I felt prepared for the real deal. Soon it came out, and I watched my brother play through, I waited till he was done before I played. It took a few days, but I had my chance. I was nice and I didn't use the memory card as I didn't want to mess with his data, I did feel a little nervous as I was headed for an adventure that spanned two disks. Once I entered the world everyone gave me strange looks. Snake recognized me, and wasn't sure if I had what it took as I stunk at the first adventure. But I wanted to try, so I went with him. From what I watched my brother do, I knew there were two endings, but I was given one heck of a way to pick. I couldn't stand seeing a woman or girl die an unnecessary death, so I was going to save Meryl. "Don't worry Colonel, I'll save your niece," I said. I took on every foe, made it past every trap, every sentry, but then the moment of truth came. To determine just what kind of man I am. Was I the type to endure the pain for another persons sake, or was I a coward after my own hide? "You hold two people in your hands boy, his life, and the girl's, do you really have what it takes to try and save them both? Mind you, one slip up and it's over," Ocelot said. "One press of the select button and you won't have to worry," he added. "Go ahead and try and kill me the cowards way," I replied.
"You got guts, I'll grant you that," Ocelot commented. Soon it started, the moment of truth, whether or not I had what it took to save a life, whether or not I deserved to be called a man. It all rested on this one event. I made it through, though my hand ached, I was satisfied. I had changed since that event, my hand reflexes was doubled the speed since then, I evolved. I made it through the entire adventure in one day, with saving on a memory card, I did it all on one play through. "Sorry I doubted you kid, you've grown quite a bit since we last met, you're as good as your brother now," Snake said. A major sense of accomplishment and joy over took me, I set out and took on the biggest adventure at that time and beat it under a few hours. The years rolled by, and I took every battle that headed my way. I was toughened up almost to the point where I could beat any enemy in just a single blow! But none the less, my skills were reaching their maximum. And with the internet growing and growing, I came across a great multitude of things. During one of my random webpage surfing, I inadvertently walked by a female elf. I asked her for her name and she said it was Deedlit. She gave me a merry little chase, but I soon found out she was a High elf and found out a bit more about where she was from, and what she's done. "If you're so interested, why don't you look for the Record of Lodoss War dvds?" she asked.
"I think I will," I replied. I soon acquired two dvd sets and learned a great deal. Thanks to her, I learned quite a bit of things, and through her I started to have an interest into making fanfic writings. "I can't help but notice, you seem to have the aura of a warrior about you," she commented. "I've been fighting practically since I was born almost," I replied.
"You must have started awfully young to get an aura that strong. But there is more then just fighting you know," Deedlit said.
"I'm aware of that, but I haven't seen you do anything other then fight either, although you do want to live a peaceful life," I said. Deedlit then peered into my eyes. "If you think you know me so well, why don't you read my tale?" she asked. "I think I will," I replied rather boldly. I read the tale, and I was deeply moved. But still I do what I must, and I still did heavy battle. But still battle after battle, I could slowly begin to feel myself tire, just do I fight for? After a few more years of battle, and another battle alongside Samus against the X parasites, I came across a world where the heroin was a young girl called Annet Myer. I helped her in her quest to prevent a demon from being summoned, but we were too late to stop the ceremony, as well as the save the soul who became the demon. After the battle she felt sorrow, while I felt greatly troubled. Words spoken by a man I fought against while alongside the hero known as Big Boss, were running through my mind. "Who can say for certain that you won't be pointing your rifles at your neighbors, your comrades, your friends, your families?" these words have spoken true on a few occasions for me already. Though I have fought along side many people, I have been on my own for a long time. "You look exhausted, are you alright?" Annet asked.
"I've been fighting so long, I don't know how much farther I can go," I replied. "What your problem is that you haven't really rested, you've fought almost hours on end each day, I know, I've seen what you've done the past twenty years or so, it isn't healthy. I know you've taken rest here and there, but you need a real break, like go a certain amount of days without fighting," Annet said. I realized what I really needed, I knew what I had to do. I needed to stop being a random wander, it's time I found a place or places where I can fit in, be with people, share some laughs, just have fun.

Edit by Rasen: Fixed a typo.
