I have not yet confirmed this with David, though i don't think he will have a problem with it.

I have decided to create a group for the Vizzed Board on Last.Fm.

In case you dont know what Last.Fm is, its a community around the world, filled with people who share a common interest. Music.

Main focus of this is getting our name out there! Woo! (I know of tried this before, but though a lot of us are gamers not to many of us have even heard of X-Fire, let alone bother to use it.) Back on topic.

Ok, first is - My profile page. You can see by going there what type of information it shows, same with Rocksome's.

Next, Vizzed Board Group (Titled: "Vizzed Board") As you can see, rather empty. Also, is a Member Approval joining policy (meaning, selected members will be giving the power to accept requests and issue invites.)

Now, if this is accepted by David, i am issuing a reward which can be won by ANYONE who joins the group on Last.Fm. Make the Groups Logo (Not a duplicate of the current logo (which i think is rather out dated) ) to the below specifications and win the 5000 Viz Price!

The image must be fresh, but must also make sense! (If i dont get entries, or any entries that David/Myself like i will make it myself then )

The great this about this is, everything you do exposes you - and if you join this group youll be exposing the group as well. Group Exposer means means people learn of Vizzed, thus visit.

Few things im Considering is:

1) Changing the group joining policy to Open, meaning anyone can join (might create better public relations.)

2) Creating a Viz "Income" based off the songs listened to each month. (Give current members of Vizzed a reason to join other than helping create the community and hanging out with us!)

(Please reply with your thoughts on "1)" and "2)". For ease, copy my format. IE: "1) #discuss" then after that "2) #discuss")

Though the group page has a forum, will be disallowing anyone from posting on it. (Except myself) and all it will have is a link to Vizzed Board. No point having 2 forums right?

Foolish child. We dont actually upload any music. You download and install their program, when you listen to music it will "scrobble" it to their servers. Basically it makes your profile filled with all the music you listen to. If you go to my profile page it all makes sense. I figure almost everyone here actually listens to music, and if not this is a good chance for them to expand their interests. Last.Fm pretty much has every single song on record (almost) and shows all kinds of connections and similar interests. Truely, it is awesome to use.

1) You have to use your own music. Though Last.Fm offers free music downloads it doesnt actually have all songs on a server somewhere so people can listen to them (thats hell'a illegal).

2) Im afraid it depends on what their client supports in terms of music, but they have generally made it for every popular music player. * researches* Here we go.

You can become a member without the software, but your profile would be pretty bare.. as in.. empty. And it is 100% free, while there are perks of "donating" you do not have to pay to enjoy 100% of the features of last.fm.

I approve. I can fund another 5000 Viz to it.

So ive changed the joining policy to "Open" so anyone and everyone can join. However, when you join leave a shout either on the group page or on my page and i shall adjust your ranking accordingly.

If anyone needs some help with this, i will post a "Tutorial" thread for certain features of Last.Fm as the site is overwhelming at first.
