Hello All,
I have been having problems saving and loading the game Sword of Vermilion which is a RPG for Genesis. The emulator (that requires the RGR Plug In) says that you should push f 2 or f 4 to save and load the game. This doesn't work for me so perhaps this function doesn't work with this particular game?

I've tried saving within the game itself and then restarting the game and pushing "continue." Unfortunately, this doesn't work either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Terry

busterbutterfly : I'm sorry for your trouble.

I have verified that the save state and load state functions do work for this game in Chrome and FireFox. Most likely your F2 function is your screen brightness setting or some other function. Try hitting the Fn key on your keyboard (holding it down) then hitting F2. This should save your game. Then hit F4 to load.

Let me know if you still have trouble.

Jordanv78 : Awesome! Thanks so much for your help! You were exactly right!!!

It looks like the local save state works perfectly when I hold down fn and hit f2. If I'm not to much of a bother, can you tell me if the save and load functions work indefinitely? For example, if I use the save state in the emulator, will it hold for a month or is there a limitation to how long games can be saved? I only ask this due to the fact that you have to devote a lot of time to RPGs and I would be disappointed if the emulator loses the recorded data.

Thanks Again!

busterbutterfly : No problem at all. That's what I'm here for. Feel free to message staff if you have any further problems with the plugin.

The save states are actually stored on the computer you are making them on. So they are saved forever unless you delete them. The only drawback to that is if you are trying to resume on another computer you actually have to move the file from the original computer to the new one.
