Do do on further then, because while those games are excellent.. you can find many excellent games for most systems.

I found Super Metroid amazing, and I haven't even finished it yet. A Link to the Past is another great game, it has all the elements there, it truely is the 2d Ocarina of Time. Others have tried to create an actual 2d OOT, but the project was never finished. This is the next best thing, and OOT is based on this. 3 temples, 7 maidens, just like OOT!

Wow I can go on about super nintendo all day especially now that I have the chance to play countless hacks. Super mario world was One of the greatest games playing as a kid. Its actually one of my earliest memories sad enough. I actually still to this day play mostly sper nes games considering all the great hacks and japan only titles like wario and mario which is really fun on um nevermind.

yeah, SNES is my favorite console too. I grew up playing it the most and it has some fantastic games.

This may not be a totally valid opinion but I feel like after SNES and Genesis that consoles started to become more about graphics and less about storyline. Now I'm not saying that it is universally true for every game that came out for consoles after SNES but I have found fewer and fewer games for consoles that I have enjoyed the storyline for like I enjoyed it for SNES era games.

SNES was one of the best eras if the not the best. I am not an RPG fan, so I would metion a completely new different of games. Other than the great games already mentioned, I would like to add F-Zero, the best racing game by far up to that point and Mario Kart. Don't even think about forgetting Donkey Kong Country 1-3. we have snes roms available to download from http://www.get-your-rom.com/ as complete sets and soon individual games that you can play on your own pc.
