Is anybody getting google fiber or already have it? I hope my parents get it but I live in Kansas City so I guess most people can't get it yet. I already am able to get it and one of my friends got it and he says it is definitely worth the money. Is anybody here going to get it when it comes to there area or can they already get it in KC. It is the next revolution in electronics and internet.

It's not available where I live yet, and it probably won't be for a long time. I'd imagine it will start off only in large cities first, and then trickle its way down to smaller and smaller cities. Honestly though, I'd be surprised if my town ever got it, considering we still don't even have Verizon FiOs or any 4G cell towers yet.

But if the opportunity presented itself, yeah I'd definitely get it, if the price was right. It would have to be cheaper, or at least competitive with the price of my current ISP, although I guess they're doing a "free" service, at regular internet speeds, so maybe I'd do that.

Optical fiber is available, but realistically i don't really need it so i wont be buying it till threes a significant price drop.
