I'll do this update a little later. I've been really busy planning out the last parts of the prologue. Once the prologue finishes, it will take longer to update, given the nature of what's going to happen.

Now that you are all together, I will no longer refer to things as character stories.

The group decides to wait for morning.

You all have a dream while you wait, about what you may expect the city to be like... of course, for storyline reasons I'm just going to give you a story whether or not you actually would think that. So be quiet and take your story and ignore me shattering the 4th wall completely.

What did Teej dream of? Blue skies, and a fresh flow. A calming peace residing in his general area. He made friends with a squid and a starfish, and a blowfish and crab, a whale and some bubbles, and a squirrel. He dreamed of the days he could relax and laugh... and laugh... with that awful nasally voice. eww.

What of Pacman? He longed for the days he could one day return to how he once was. In a separate time and land, he keeps looking for a way home. He misses his brother, and he misses his girlfriend. His adoptive family back home in Wrick probably wonders where he went... maybe when he's ready to leave, he'll go back and explain everything to them...

And what of big fat dog? He longed for the days when justice would prevail. He will be silenced no more. His mind... it will be spoken, and you will listen. Not much is wanted, but what can be attained by this battledogmage? Something makes him think he's not staying true to his roots, but that's another battle for another day... or is it? After all, can one truly beat their enemies if they can't be themself?

Madly Obsessed Muffin Lover? This pony dreamt of nothing but muffins... chocolate, banana bread, zuchini (really?) and wheatgrass. Raspberry, blueberry, and bran galore. Muffins of all shapes and sizes, of all flavors and ranges... they dreamed of a world where muffins were everywhere. A limitless supply, where one could swim in an ocean of tasty sustenance. What a world that would be... no?

And what of Mr. Iris? He simply wanted to be away. Free of any obligations. The only reason he's even here is because he was forced into choosing between following the powerful Leggy or the powerful military. Death wasn't an option. He had too much to live for. What exactly? Well only he truly knows... is it family? Friends? What is he trying to accomplish? Time will tell, but you can't run from your past forever. Eventually time catches up to everyone.

Kyle Katarn felt out of place with this group of ragtag jerkoffs. He didn't belong here. How did he even get to this point? He's tired of being Leggy's personal mercenary, but he knows there is too much dirt on him to effectively escape his grasp... at least for now. He one day dreams of getting as far away from Leggy Land as possible. But that requires him to be free of Leggy, to rebuild a ship, and to fly across the galaxy back home.

El Guerrero. There isn't much that can be said about this overrated actor. He made a killing in terms of financials, but he isn't really a fan favorite. Critics love him for some reason... what he wants is to be loved by others. He wants real fans. Who actually LIKE him for his performances. He's got a heavy burden to bear, and it only gets heavier with each crappy movie he appears in. Maybe if he's successful in this quest, people will finally enjoy his work for what it is.

And then there's Aaron... why is he alone all the time? Surely it gets lonely... maybe he's trying to find someone he lost. Maybe he's trying to find someone period. Does anyone get him? Will anyone get him? Does he even know what he is? Does he even want to know? There are too many questions for him to even answer himself. But it's ok, at the end of every rainbow is a pot of gold... and he's starting the climb.

They all have something in common though, from Teej to Aaron, from Kyle to big fat dog, Iris and El Guerrero, and Madly Obsessed Muffin Lover and Pacman. They all want to find what awaits them in Leggy City and beyond. Is there an end? If there is, how far away is it? Whatever the case is, they have a long road in front of them. And that road begins in Leggy City.

It's a big world, and it's theirs to explore. They will face hardships for certain, and it's more than likely one of them will even die. But while they are alive, they share a hushed silence around their put out campfire. They stand in a circle of 8, watching as the last embers burn out. This could well be the last time they are all together like this. Their time together has been very short. But very meaningful. They can't help but feel like they all mean something in the grand scheme of things. But that's probably petty narcissism. The land is large. The world is larger. The universe is larger still. They are such small things on a cosmic scale.

Whether they are big or small, their quest truly begins.

They set out from the campfire, after packing up... and walk up to the gates.

: Hey, weren't there less of you the other day... yo?

: Yeah, I coulda swore there were only 4 of you yesterday... yo.

: Do these other 4 guys have the right key... yo?

: Yeah, cuz you still ain't getting in without a key... yo.

: Yeah, Sir Leggy used a cheat code and leveled us all up to level 999... yo.

: You wouldn't stand a chance in hell!

Silence passes...

: Oops! I meant to say, "You wouldn't stand a chance in hell! ... yo!"

Kyle walks forward and presents the keycard.

: Ah, this is legit yo.

: You all can go in yo.

: Yeah, sorry for being such dicks, yo.

You politely wave, and walk into the city gates.

It's glorious...



You take a look all around, and see countless ways you can each go. You could explore for days, and still not find everything. Every last one of you is in awe, as you have never been to such a big city in your lives.

You walk up to a local, and ask them for directions to the Leggy Tower, the place where Leggy wanted you all to go.

: Really? You don't see the huge ass tower in front of you?

You soon see there's only one huge tower in front of you. There are other huge towers in the distance to your left and right, but you get the feeling those are closed off and you will never have access to them... almost like there's a wall to prevent you from going too far.

Having little other choice, you go straight up to the tower...

: Hey. Yo.

You all simutaneously sigh at once. This guy again?

: What? Is something on my face? Yo?

He picks at his face, and then someone who was following your group walks by and whispers in his ear.

: I see... thanks for telling me bro. Yo.

You are all very confused.

: Well, I see you guys had a mixup with the gate guards earlier... I'm their brother. You can call me Yoseph. Yo.

He can sense your impatience

: You want to get in right? No problem yo. Just give me the keycard. Yo.

You present the keycard.

: No no no. Not this one yo. This one is blue... don't you have any other key cards yo?

You all dump out your keycards, and show them to the guard.

: Oh that Leggy... he's got some faith in the fact all 8 of you would show up yo.

He puts the keycards (all of them) in his pocket, and hurries you inside.

: Talk to the guy behind the counter. Tell him Yoseph sent you. yo.

You do as he asks and...

: Yo!

More of them?

: I see, you guys need ID Cards! Yo!

He seems more enthusiastic than the others.

: Don't worry yo! Your ID Cards will be here after you meet with Leggy! He's been expecting you yo!

He points to an elevator. You get in.

...

There are no buttons in this elevator. The doors closed. Crap.

Suddenly...

: Don't worry yo, this is just our defense system. See, this way if someone tried to launch a full scale invasion on this HQ, they'd need to leave some people behind to operate the elevator. There are no stair cases that lead to Leggy, only an elevator. It's remote operated, and we're sending you down to Leggy post haste!

Wait... did he say down?

He did.

You suddenly start plunging into the earth. About 2 minutes later, the doors open and you hurry out.

That was one scary elevator ride.

: Welcome to my home. This is Leggy Tower, and I am Leggy... but you already knew that.

You all start screaming at once. Leggy purses his lips together and motions for you to seal it.

: All will be explained... Just take a sit.

He points to some chairs, and you do as he asks.

: Now listen... I know I told all of you to come here under different terms... but that's not why I want you here. See... I have something... different planned for all of you.

You feel betrayed... you knew this wouldn't end well.

: See, I'm in a bit of a jam. I'm very... bored.

Uh oh.

: So I've gone to the trouble to enlist you all in my private army. Deserting is a bad idea, since I own Leggy Land, and I will find you. After all, think of how easily I found each of you the last time.

He has a point.

: See, I own all of Leggy Land... and it can get pretty boring ruling it. So I've split it up. That's right, I've sent each of my commanders to different lands, and set their factions to hate other factions. The only safe spot in all of Leggy Land is this city.

Ugh. This gets worse all the time.

: And where do you all come in this? Well I'm leaving it up to you to fight against every other faction, to try and bring peace back to this land. Because like it or not, you are all stuck here, and you would probably rather have peace than chaos.

You aren't even equipped to fight a war.

: I bet you all think you aren't prepared to fight a war. Well that's where you are wrong. Because I'm dumping you all in a beginner's dungeon to figure it out. If you die, oh well, no one will cry for you. If you live... well, you'll find all kinds of neat things.

WHAT

: Oh, how rude of me.

Leggy has healed your entire party fully.

: There we go! Ta ta!

Leggy snaps his fingers, and you all fall into a pit.... and land on a pillow. Well that was nice of him.

This is where the story branches out. You are all forced to work together for this dungeon, but once you get out, the choices you've made during the quizzes I'm going to task you with will determine which path you go down. Good luck!

There's a treasure chest. One for each of you... hmm I wonder.

CHOICE - EVERYONE (you all can choose separate things, if you ignore it, and others don't, you will ignore, and they will not. When it says EVERYONE, you ALL must choose an option. When it says VOTE, you will vote on a choice, and your party will go that path.)

3. Open someone else's chest (specify)
4. Try and call for a rescue copter.

Also, I will no longer put down choices. Die rolls will still determine success, but you won't be told the results of die rolls.

Ugh... These guards. It seems like the best option right now would be to open the chest and take anything provided. If it helps, great! If it hurts, well a quick death won't be too bad considering WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE SAME SADIST WE'VE WORKED WITH BEFORE.

By the way, great update. I was not expecting something this huge.

Yeah, I'm trying to get bigger updates as opposed to smaller quick ones when possible. When just making minor moves like moving east, there won't be much for updates, but when you hit cities, and important plot points, you can believe updates will generally be about this length.
