Now, we APPARENTLY are at the right place. But going straight into the story is boring and lame and stupid. I vote we do SIDE QUESTS first. Also, since we're at a reference point, we can EASILY find other things.

So here's what I think.

1) Disregard PLOT. Go NORTH to EASTON. Do SIDE QUESTS. Make MONEY. Get GEAR and maybe MAGIC. Do PLOT with cool GEAR and maybe MAGIC.

2) Disregard awesome SIDE QUESTS. Enter LEGGY CITY (we have PASSES to get by the GUARDS). Do PLOT stuff at low LEVEL and with poor/non-existant GEAR and lame MAGIC.

I'm gonna just let you guys decide.

I'll just point out for now, until the prologue is done, there are few side missions, and they are all available once you finish said prologue.

Fool, I have Cool Gear. I'm the only person on the entire team with an actual weapon and I have the neat ability to breathe underwater.

So, erm, we should unnecessarily start fights with the locals, build up some Infamy and EXP, and then do whatever.

AuraBlaze : Unless there is a boat we can find laying around somewhere, I don't really know. I doubt that its going to be found though. Maybe follow the river by foot? That's an option.

You walk east along the banking of the lake, and enjoy the walk. After being in the desert for so long... you take anything over sand. You have grown to enjoy each other's company... but you keep waiting for something bad to happen... it seems strange you haven't run into a single person who wishes you harm.

Once you get to the river crossing, you notice something unusual.

It's a boat... tied to a dock... and there's a note.

pacman picks up the note and reads it.

"Well hello there Aaron, and Pac. I see you two have gotten to the river as I had hoped. I'm getting bored waiting for you two, being you are so far away from Leggy City, so I've chosen to help speed you in the direction I want you to go. This boat is tied to the dock (obviously) and it's 100% safe. Once you get in the boat and cut the tether, it will speed you down the river to Leggy City. I do hope you choose to use the boat, because if you don't you will find things quite messy. See there are a couple of enemies to the East, North, and South, and I doubt you are crazy to head back torwards the desert. You also have no weapons, so you'd probably lose. Anyway, toodles, hope to see you in Leggy City soon."

You would. Because the ruins are right there, and pretty damn obvious looking. It even says "RUINS" on the entrance. Ever think this is just a video game? Well if you did, you are wrong, because in Video Games you have weapons generally. Nonetheless, you have a choice. Inside the ruins COULD be weapons. Of course, death could also be in there.

The guards can only raise their eyebrows as a midget emote, a sponge holding a spatula, a cartoon pony, and a character from the Simpsons walk up to the doors of their city... surely they don't have permission to enter right?

Well the guards walk up and declare...

: Halt... yo.

: Yeah, let's see some ID... yo.

: I'm the third guard... yo.

There's something intimidating about these guards. Maybe it's the fact they are bigger than you and could tear you up like a piece of paper. Needless to say, you show your ID...

: Oh, this stuff is outdated... yo.

... You have to be kidding. Leggy seriously gave you outdated passes? Really? What the hell man.

: We're gonna have a problem if you don't leave... yo.

: Yeah man... sorry, but we gotta ask you to scram... yo.

And before you can do anything, they crach their knuckles.

Given only one of you has a legitimate weapon... a rusty ass spatula at that... you probably can't take three buff security guards who say yo a lot.

: So what's it gonna be... yo?

So Aaron and Pacman got into the boat, and cut the line... and held their breath...

The boat explodes.

No, I'm not kidding. The boat exploded, and now you are flying in the direction of a large city.

You didn't think this would happen did you? Be honest.

Also, you land harmlessly on top of someone. Well. Harmlessly to you!

You enter the ruins, and realize something.

There is no floor.

Oops.

So you fall... and fall... and fall... oh, and you land in water. So no damage. The water is flowing in the direction you were facing, so you will at least probably go somewhere.

After a long time of floating, and trying to steady yourself... (dog chose a bad day to wear armor) you eventually come out of a sewer duct... perched on a cliff. Yipes.

Oh, and you land harmlessly on a poor bystander. Harmlessly for you I mean.

After a few more hours of arguing...

: You do realize there are new color passes every year right? You guys probably have last year's pass. The new ones are blue.

Sure enough, the first group finds their cards were green. Kyle is the only one with a blue card...

This should be enough to get you into Leggy City in the morning.
