Hello,
I'm having trouble importing local saved data for Pokémon Ruby red. So far I have put the save game from the downloads folder in the open plug in data folder from the computer I originally played it on. Then I took the USB and put the file into the downloads folder onto the new computer, but when I play Pokémon it doesn't recognize my save and asks me to create a new game. Any help would be appreciated very much!

This is heavy into the RGR. So I am going to send this thread to the Retro Game Room forum so the staff there can help you. Good luck!

2 things here to attempt:

- Have you also installed the Plugin on the other computer (obligatory question)

- Can you try uploading the save to http://www.sendspace.com/ and downloading it to the other computer? The files might have been corrupted in the USB somehow.

Eh, I just realized your mistake - you said you took the file from Downloads, that won't transfer your save.

Go to the folder User-248355, then VBA folder, then Saves folder.

In-game save files for GBA will have the extension .sav and save state file for GBA .sgm

GGGGdawg : The save file should not be in the downloads section, it should be in the Vizzed RGR install directory found where tRIUNE told you to navigate. Insert the saved file in the same location on the new computer (With the Plugin installed) and you should be able to resume from where you last left off.
