Okay, guys. Newbie here. I'd like to open up a general location thread. What I mean by this is that it could be a location in which people could post and/or request the location of certain pokemon, be it common, rare, or legendary.

Personally, I'd like to know the location of a Larvitar or its evolutions, Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, and Elekid.

Also, I'd like to know how the system works out with trade-evolutioin pokemon such as Alakazam and Steelix. Will I have to go out and capture those seperately, or is there a certain level at which my Onix and Kadabra will evolve naturally, via the game's hack?
Some pokemon I've found:
*I'm only a bit into the game, so forgive me if these don't really help you out...

Starter pokemon: In a location I believe to be called the Altering Cave. It's in a cave after Slateport. After you beat Team Aqua, head north and take a right. At the end of the trail near the water's edge, there should be a cave. Inside will be all of the starters ranging from Bulbasaur to Torchic. A bit of warning though: Bulbasaurs, Cyndaquils, Charmanders, and Torchics seem to be much more common, while Mudkips, Squirtles, and Treekos are much harder to find. You'll also find a few Pikachus in here!

Many thanks to those who help me out, and many apologies if any rules have been broken.

Just a little correction first: Altering cave is north, then left or Slateport!

As for the locations you asked for:
Larvitar and Pupitar can be caught in the Fossil Maniac's house (west of Fallarbor Town), Mewtwo (along with Celebi) can be caught as a rare encounter in area 6 of the safari zone accessible again after beating the E4 and Elekid can be caught along with all of the other "baby" Pokémon in Rusturf Tunnel to the east of Rustboro city. Lugia and Mew along with 6 other legendaries are seemingly supposed to be caught on their respective islands, but the event tickets to get to those islands aren't working properly. Regardless, I believe they can all be caught on Mirage Island but I haven't gotten lucky enough to get there and confirm that.

As for the trade evolutions they have all been changed so that they happen either by leveling or stones. I could tell you them, but I think discovering them adds to the fun of the game an easy way to check is to just carry around each stone and when trying to evolve your specified Pokémon go to use the stone and you'll see right away which Pokémon can and can't use it. If your Pokémon can't use any of the stones just keep leveling it until it evolves. Hope this helps!

I can't find Kabuto. I've seen one in a trainer battle so I'm able to look up the area for it and it says Sootopolis City. But I've searched there by surfing and using all 3 rods and nothing. Old rod only catches magikarp, good rod catches omanyte, and super rod catches magikarp and the occasional gyarados. Surfing only yields magikarp and wooper.
Also the locations page someone posted in another thread for emerald 386 is not correct.

I bred my Kabutops with a Ditto to get Kabuto. Same with Omastar.

MY question is where can I find Scizor? I have looked in Safari Zone, the map shows no location, Leaf Stone does nothing on Scyther (I read an online guide that said to do that), and leveling Scyther to level 40 like you do all the other trade-evolution Pokemon does not work. Anyone know where I can get him? Thanks!

Yeah I figured it out a little while ago. Now I just need to figure out how to get Steelix, whether you level up or with a stone, and if it takes a sun stone I need to find one, I believe I have used uyp all the ones you find.

Hey. So the pokedex shows that I find Lickitung near the Falls, but I cannot figure out exactly where to pinpoint the little guy. If anyone could help me with it, I'd be really appreciative.

Is there any place where I can catch unown outside of the mirage tower? I've heard from different sources that it can also be found in the desert underpass or in Steven's room in the meteor falls, but can it?

GiaMiCooL : Feebas is probably in the usual route for emerald which is he route before fortree city. Six spots in the water while using a super rod. The spots normally would change based on the trendy phase in dewford but idk if it still changes. Just check each spot a few times. You will find one eventually.

Also anyone know where to get a Lapras?
