Street Fighter was originally an arcade machine released in 1991. It got ported to the Super Nintendo and the Sega Genesis. It got ported onto the Game Boy in 1995.
GRAPHICS: Terrible is one word to describe the graphics. The game is very choppy and that is the main reason why I'm rating the graphics so low. However the game can go into the Super Game Boy adapter which gives a few colors. That does not compensate for the extremely choppy game play.
SOUND: At least the sound is somewhat similar to the SNES version. I guess since this is an 8-bit system it produce the voice samples that are in the SNES version.
ADDICTIVENESS: Its as addicting as the SNES version. I played until I beat it and then I checked out the survival mode. So this is pretty addicting.
DEPTH: Since it's on a Game Boy Pak. Which can't hold as much memory as a standard cartridge. There is a few things missing. 3 characters are missing in this version. E. Honda, Dhalsim, and Vega. Those are the only things that are missing. There's still plenty to offer. There are 3 game modes, normal, versus, and survival. You also have the ability to change the difficulty. Plus you can use this with the Super Game Boy, to give it some color. Even though there's only about 3 colors on the screen at once. It's still a difference from the black and white or green and black if your playing on a regular Game Boy monochrome screen.
DIFFICULTY: This game is definitely easier then the SNES version. Which is a relief because the gameplay is very choppy so its nice to have easier to fight opponents.
OVERALL RATING 6.5
