In regards to video games there have only been a few moments in my life; so few I could count on one hand, where an up-and-coming video game has grabbed my full and undivided attention.  This is one of them, introducing Perspective, the first of its kind, a 2d Side-Scroll Platformer inside of a 3D first person perspective game.  Created by students at the DigiPen Institute of Technology, this title is another example of how INDI games have the potential to match AAA+ titles.  Here is the website with video...

Basically you move around 3D rooms/spaces which have glowing lines on the walls, you also have a little man who reminds me of Megaman, whom you have to navigate along these lines.  You have to move your 3D perspective around to create a viable path for your 2D character.  I for one cant wait till it's release, it looks awesome.

Similar titles: Portal, Prey

This game does look rather intriguing, doesn't it. I like how you can jump from foreground to background just by lining up your camera the right way.

That being said, this really isn't the first time I've seen this style of game. The most notable one of this style is Super Paper Mario. There is also another game I saw a few months back called Sideway: New York, where you play a little graffiti man running along the walls of New York City.

I'll give Perceptive this, however, it takes this idea to takes it to a whole new and actually quite interesting level. I might give this game a try at some point in the future, if only to say that I did. LOL

This game does look pretty fun, but I think I would get kind of confused while playing it, because I'm not very good at thinking like that; in perspective or whatever.
