yeah, all it took was buying a team to get him there!

Lebron is over-rated just like so many of today's "stars".

geeogree :

And a few years, but who cares about all the failure!

In all seriousness, it's kind of funny. People are now saying that it's validate to compare LeBrick and Jordan. They are not at all alike. Jordan had Pippen and Rodman sure, but you can't really compare Pippen and Rodman to Wade and Bosh.

Pippen was nothing more than a role player through it all. And it became clear without Jordan. Rodman was just a goof, who had the ability to grab a basketball out of the air. He wasn't terribly special either.

Whereas Wade WON a championship without LeBron. Bosh is a consistent all star who was good without Wade or LeBron. Sure, he didn't really win... but Toronto's team sucks ass. Sometimes I forget it even exists.

LeBron is nothing more than a sell out who had to get a team of all stars and super stars around him to finally win a championship. Plus, it was a shortened season which rewarded players like Wade and LeBron.

If you will all remember, Derrick Rose of the Bulls was injured all season long, in large part thanks to the way the shortened season punished explosive players like him. No rest or recovery makes it impossible to last a full season if you are Derrick Rose. Yes, I do believe the Bulls would have beaten the Heat in a 7 game series if he had been healthy. He's just that good.

Congrats on your Championship Miami Bandwagon.

legacyme3 : You couldn't have said it better. But I heard that Jordan did say that if we were to put Lebron in these type of comparisons, he had to at least win a ring before he could even be mentioned. =P

But it's going to be weird going to Lebron videos and no longer being able to make the "King with no ring" jokes or anything like that. =P

I'm glad that Wade won another ring, but it kinda sucks that he won a ring as leader of the team a few years back, and now he had to play second man to Lebron for this ring. Bosh HAD to go to Miami (or at least SOME type of good team) because he was never going to win with Toronto.

Oh well, there's always next year for my Lakers to win a championship. =3

Jordan will always be the best of the best in basketball. No one will ever compare to him. He has won more individual awards and championships than anyone else, by a long shot.

I'm glad Bosh got a championship. To play in Toronto for as long as he did and still manage to be good is an accomplishment

I really like how Bosh was able to get a ring, but I really dislike how Lebron got a ring.  And we can still do a Lebron joke: LeRefsRiggedTheSeries.

Well with that being said, I think that Bosh really deserved that ring because of all his hard work. At first I thought that the Thunder was going to beat them at least two or three times but they lost it all to the Miami Heat.

legacyme3 : Pippen a mere role player? Sorry but that couldn't be farther from the truth. To get included in the 50 greatest NBA players of all time, you got to be far more special than a role player.

Here's an excerpt from wikipedia about Scottie Pippen's play for the Bulls without Jordan (1993-1995)

Michael Jordan retired before the 1993–94 season, and in his absence Pippen emerged from Jordan's shadow. That year, he earned All-Star Game MVP honors and led the Bulls in scoring, assists, and blocks, and the league in steals, averaging 22.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 2.9 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game, while shooting 49.1% from the field and a career-best 32% from the 3-point line. For his efforts, he earned the first of three straight All-NBA First Team nods, and he finished third in MVP voting. The Bulls finished the season with 55 wins, only two fewer than the year before.

well put Stockton90!

Yeah, I didn't like Pippen being called a mere role player. Sure, he couldn't win a championship without Jordan but any team losing their best player would have a tough time winning. He is still one of the better players to play the game and was part of one of the best tandems of all time. I wouldn't say he is up there with the superstars of the sport but he is definitely one of the better players to play the game.

It's about darn time they finally won a championship. All that talk and they are just know getting a championship. :/ Please... And I put money on it that either in a few years LeBron will retire, or will leave for another team. But, then again, that is just my opinion.

Congrats Miami...  It's about darn time.

geeogree : I couldn't agree more with you.

Actually them winning is kinda sad because its a punch in the face to anyone that tries to "Develop" a good team, rather than just buying one with guys who have no loyalty to the city they play in. Sports have changed a lot in the years that I have been alive.

Jordanv78 : I agree it is sad, but it's also nice to see the Oklahoma made it and it looks like their team has been mostly developed. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the finals again in the next 5 years. Young team with a lot of chances to develop into an even better group. As long as they can afford to keep them all around that is.

Its a shame that the underdog Thunder didn't come back to win it. Nevertheless, Miami did win their championship after coming up short last year. Congrats Miami on your win.
