A dangerous game show...

What else I need to say about "The Simpsons"?, We all know them: A succeful show, it was made by Matt Groening, and it has over 500 Episodes... As usual, the mercadshing appeared with the time: Clothes, Videos and DVDs, Comic books, and (Of course) Video games. Acclaim got the rights for make the games. The result: the games were horrible looking, they had a big difficulty, and hard controls. However, there's ever an exception. This exception is named: Bart Vs. The Juggernauts, for the Game Boy. How it is?, It's the same thing as the rest of the games?, Let's find it out:

Story: "The Juggernauts" is one of the most popular shows of the Nation. On this game, the strength and intelligence of the contestant is tested. Of course, with the objective of win money and big prizes. Every month, the show is transmitted from a different town. This month is t Springfield's turn, as well many people decides to participate on it. Between all the people there's a kid... Bart Simpson, yes, Bart is planning to compite at the show, and our objective is help him to win every one of tasks... A pretty hard work. (8/10)
 
Graphics: This game counts with somewhat good graphics, Bart and the rest of the characters you see thought the game are pretty well done. Same with their animations...Very Different from the NES titles, in where the characters are square-shaped and lack of good animation. The Sprites on this game are also bigger, another good detail. (8/10)

Sound: The sound is pretty choppy and awful sounding... I know, it's a Game Boy. This console doesn't have a good sound quality. But it could have been better than it is. However, a pair of headphones can fix a bit this problem... At least the game has an acceptable soundtrack, with simple but somewhat catchy soundtrack. SFX is the same thing, but it doesn't bother much as the music. (7/10)

Addictiveness: Well, for those who lacks patience... This game has nothing of addictive, If you have patience... You would enjoy this game. Every task you must confront has a good amount of difficulty. To domain every one of them. You must practice a lot... (8/10)

Depth: This game is perhaps, the deepest Simpson game of those days... Just look: This game is about a contest game with various physical tasks. There are not two similar tasks... For example: the 1st two mini games are a Basketball and a Skate task... In the Basketball one, you must score many points as you can. But, you must avoid obstacles such as electrified parts of the ground, or Juggernauts that can push you back. In the Skate one, You must descend from a ramp avoiding every obstacle that could stop you... Then, you must knock out a Juggernaut that stands over a platform holing a shield. If you manage to get the required money for the week... You will unlock new mini games, like one in where you must knock out of a platform your opponent or one in where you must descend with a parachute while avoiding different things, such as cannonballs of knives. As you see, it has a good amount of games to play. (9/10)

Difficulty: As said, this game has a very very high difficulty... You need a lot of skills to avoid the different traps or obstacles that appears in your road. Every time you play the things change their pattern or movements. (9/10)

Final Rating: 7.2

This is not one of the best Simpson games for a Nintendo console... But it's close. If his difficulty weren't big, It could have been more funnier or addictive. Sadly, Acclaim used to thought that more difficulty meaned more fun... well, not. At least is a pretty decent game that you can play until it makes you go angry... Just give it the chance.
