Sony has done some great things, as has Nintendo. Personally I would have to go for Nintendo though. They have been so influential in the video game industry over the past 30 years or so that without them, I'm not sure gaming would be the same today.

In my opinion, the two are ok, because Sony made powerful and mature consoles, but Nintendo are the most popular and they are original with their consoles.

I have to go with Nintendo! IMO, they have better games going for their consoles than Sony. That, and every Playstation console I've ever owned has broken after about a year or two of normal usage, and I've never had a Nintendo console break down on me. Also, if it weren't for Nintendo, Sony wouldn't have made the Playstation in the first place! (It was originally going to be and add-on for the SNES)

Nintendo all the way. They know how to capture gameplay perfection. Sony has Metal Gear Solid, which is an amazing series. But overall I choose Nintendo.

Sony has some good game, but Nintendo is better! I don't know how Nintendo does it! Even when they wait years too make a squeal for a game, every one is ready too buy that game! (Ex. About 11 years for Luigi Mansion squeal)

It's so hard to choose because I like Nintendo and Sony for different reasons. I'm going to have to pick Nintendo, though. I remember even writing about 6 or 7 handwritten letters to Nintendo when I was younger back in Elementary School and as busy as they are, I didn't expect them to write me back but they did each time. You gotta love a company that's willing to stop and listen to their fans like that.

Why?

Because they don't suck.

I can't remember the last time I actually enjoyed a Nintendo game, and the last time I liked a Nintendo home console was back in the N64 days.

The Gamecube and Wii are by far two of my least favorite systems ever. That's when Nintendo finally lost me, and I switched over to PS2 and PS3 respectively.

As for the handhelds... I had a DS, but I also had a PSP, and I prefered the PSP by far. Especially since you can hack a PSP easily.

Really it's no contest. Nintendo blows, Sony is the s***.

I... Why is this even a thing? Does it even matter? They both make systems, so what? We have better things to talk about. But fine. Nintendo has some cool interactivity, but Sony gets some better standard gameplay. I dunno, it depends more on your preferences, I'd say. I don't reall care either way, myself.
