I am running Super Mario World on the Virtual Super NES Emulator on a Mac, and the designated key for select is R-CTRL.  Unfortunately, this keystroke doesn't seem to work, as Mac's don't have a R-Ctrl, and the regular Ctrl as well as the Command key's do not work either.   Any suggestions?  I'd like to be able to exit a level in Super Mario...

R-Ctrl just means the "right-side" CTRL key. Before continuing, I'd like to make sure that you're pressing that... (It may seem silly, but a lot of people make this mistake). Anyway, I don't know if OS X differentiates between the control keys like that—

Actually, you know what? I just tried using VSNES and it turns out the select button is mapped to R-SHIFT. Try that.
