Iv had a spider crawling down my shoulder since I was 19 or 20 but I have 2 more at least that I already have plotted out. The very next one will be an addition to that, I'll get a web all the way from shoulder blade to the tip of my peck muscle on the front.  Then I'm not sure which will be first but I'm going to get on my right elbow, the skin peeled with machinery underneath, because when I workout I feel like a machine lol.  Finally, and my favourite, I'll be getting Bahamut on my thigh in midnight blue. The tail will start beside my knee, wrap around my calf and end just above my ankle..... Due to the color that one will be very expensive and take a few visits so I have put it off. My estimate is between 1 and 2 thousand depending where I go.

TBH, i wouldnt get one that wasnt significant. Like games, movies, music etc. It would have to be something symbolic about a point in my life. I wouldnt Have it on my neck or that though, i dont think they look so good, it would most likely be chest, arms or back (in that order).
Im all too aware how many people tatoo themself with random stuff and regret it later in life.
While i have done many things in my life, and various trials, i dont feel any warrant a tatoo as yet.

Edit- Maybe get one that says i survived the end of the world, 3 times (to my count thats how many times its been prophecised, i must be invincible or something, pretty impressive)

thing1 : I got sleeves on both arms covering both hands and both knuckles. I have some on my neck and a huge one on my back that isn't done yet. It's actually been many years since I got any because I can't afford any more. When I was 16-19 or so is when I got a majority of them.

My first tattoo was a cross on forearm which was from a design I found in their shop. The best advice I can offer to you is give your tattoo artist some creative control over it ESPECIALLY if you are doing backgrounds for sleeves and deciding on color choices. You would be amazed at how skilled they can be if you let them be artists.

All my tattoos are demonic and bionic with a hint of egyptian symbolizm in it. My first tattoo I had no idea what it was going to be. I went into a tattoo shop and walked out with a cross tattoo No fear, no regrets.

Most of my tattoos mainly represent what I am judged as in society, a demon. Or they represent the amount of pain and suffering from the thing that is called life. I guess they can be scars too, either way whatever they represent to me or anyone else I am happy with them and have no regrets.

I have a "Yin and Yang" set on fire on my shoulder.
That's it. I thought about others. Angels, Dragons, and crossed swords for the other shoulder but it just feels silly. I guess when I get to a new point in life I might have a different attitude. For some reason it does not appeal to me to have any more. I considered a new one for ten years. Nothing extra yet. I like the idea the previous poster stated about his "grandfathers." That's cool. I suppose it will just be a matter of time. The Grimm Reaper on my shoulder blade sounded like a winner for years.
Then I started getting interested in nicer girls (as opposed to wild ones). It could be my age but I just don't care to have any more markings. I have had a few scars that took years to heal up and barely be visible. It's one thing to mark a happy occasion with me. Its another to see a perminate reminder of how to handle a specific situation when it happens in such a forgettable manner. Guess that's all I want to disclose about that issue.
Good Luck to the rest of you I like the Ideas I read.
I'm Done. Stick a Fork in me.
Peace.

I have five tattoos. One on each arm, one on the chest, one on the back and one on the lip. I have wanted more for years but haven't been able to decide on the designs and have just plain forgot sometimes. They have all done when somebody with a decent machine and some experience has been willing to do one for me for a little money. The fun fact is that the only one that was done in an actual studio is sort of the worst looking. Though I don't mind. I don't like tattoos that are too flash and look like they cost as much as a Van Gogh painting. Well not on me at least.

As for the stigma, I don't care. You cant see them anyway if I am dressed. Besides you see so many people these days with much more elaborate tattoos in much better jobs than I could ever have.

I currently have two tattoo's the first I got on my 18th birthday it's on my left bicep/triceps. A tribal of a red Chinese dragon and a blue Chinese dragon on my triceps between them is the earth and on the back in the 'sissy spot' is a green flaming orb to represent the after life. The tattoo is to signify the constant conflict of good and evil on earth and where you will end up from the deeds, the afterlife. The second was a stupid mistake I made with my ex fiancée, a tattoo on my wrist of a key, she has the matching locket. I plan to have that one covered up. The next tattoo I intend to get will be my dog tags on my forearm and hand like rosary beads. Depending how much that costs me I may also get a wolf head pauldron on my right shoulder, not certain about that one yet however.

Marine Corps. got to E-4 before I got out. Would have stayed in if I had my way, but good luck arguing a medical discharge. Schofield is pretty decent from what I've been told. Bud of mine was a dough boy. When he got sent there he said he loved it. But he likes strange things so who knows ha.

Alright, so it is time for me to get 2 more tattoos. I am getting the Baltimore Ravens head on my right arm, getting my leaf village symbol touched up, and getting a military tribute to my grandfathers on my left or right calf... don't know which leg yet.. I will post pictures here after they are done, probably late tonight.

Kostabi : My boyfriend has a key on his wrist too, also a mistake from his ex fiancé. She had the matching locket covered up though. Which is good.

As for myself I currently have no tattoo's, rather focused on getting all the piercing's I want done first. I am currently wanting a few different ones but I'm not sure yet, I want to make sure I actually know what I want before it's put onto my body. I don't want to be like my brother and be covered head to toe in them, I might get a few little ones here and there but nothing extreme. If I do decide to get any I will defiantly post them here though.

I do indeed have a tattoo, and while it is a fandom tattoo, it's one with a lot of significance to me. It's the Time symbol from Homestuck, on my upper right arm, and it symbolizes the impact that a particular character has had on my life, specifically in regards to (attempting to) overcome my bipolar disorder. It also just looks cool, IMO. (Super easy to cover up, too!)
I might be getting a blue canary (see also: my username) on my chest at some point. We'll see.
As for piercings...I have 7 in all. Four in my ears, two in my lower lip, and one in my left eyebrow.

(I tried to post a pic of the tattoo, but it won't let me for some reason...)

thing1 : I highly recommend shaving the rest of your leg, and possibly your other one to make it even as well. It looks quite... Silly, to say the least, Nya~.

And I'm not sure if I said it yet, but I do plan on getting the Core Drill (Gurren Lagann) on my right arm, slightly below the wrist and on the top side of my arm. I have no idea what the legal age to get one is, though, other than a good guess of 18, Nya~.

MegaRevolution1 : 18 is the legal age, unless you have parent permission. They have to sign something, which you do every time you get a tat anyways. And I am going to let the hair grow back, then get a full body wax during the summer, or closer to my wedding, whenever that may be.
