Here is a review of a game I hadn't played in a few months, it is called, "Kirby's Epic
Fail Yarn"! D:
Graphics - 10
Since this is a wii game, as far as graphics go according to the designs and stuff, it is really good. Everything is made of yarn, EVERYTHING.
The yarn makes some things look strange, sone are just plain weird, very rarely will there be a pretty disgusting design. I will give the graphics a 10.
Sounds - 9
Some sounds are good, there was a music track in this game that used to be my favorite video game track until I picked up a copy of "Kirby Mass Attack". The music track was called "Green Greens", a weird name for a game track, isn't it? Some music is weird, there is no music that I ever had to mute my TV for annoying music, same with sound, none that annoys me, unless you count the ground pound ability that Kirby has when you are in mid air and press down on the d-pad. I give the sounds a 9.
Addictiveness - 5
It was really exciting for me to play this the first time, but when I played it, it got so boring after I finished the game until I said, "You know what? I'm done with this game! I would rather try to eat some fake food from maybe a website. Bottom line, I AM NOT PLAYING THIS AGAIN!" I wasn't happy with how boring it is. The voice acting went to the point where it brought me to frustration land! I give the addicting rating a 5.
Depth - 7
It is long, but it is only 7 worlds long if you count the tutorial level in the first world which only contains one level in world 1. I think there are around 35-40 levels in the game, it may be long, the levels are a little short for me, just like the Emerald Coast level in Sonic Adventure DX: Directors Cut. I give the depth a 7.
Story - 4
The story may sound good, but not to me, it seems as if it is like reading a kids book to your kids. It did sound interesting when I first played, then I found out that you weren't able to inhale and get copy abilities just like every other Kirby game. That ruins the fun of the game in a huge way. I gave the story a "meh" 4.
Difficulty - 5
It may look hard, once you get the controls down, it become easy if you can manuever in the best ways possible and find shortcuts. It seems pretty easy to me, which brings me to a huge dissapointment. It should be a hard game which I always like, but this seems easier than "the average bear". The WORST part of the game that kills the difficulty is that you can't die! Like, what the heck, why bring in a impossible way to die feature in it, no wonder why there is no Game Over screen. I throw the difficulty into the "meh" section as a 5.
Overall - 7.2
Meh, it does look like a good game, but not without below average voice acting, impossible to die, and being unable to float and get copy abilities, it round my experience of playing this!
The controls are good, the graphics and sound are great, but the game gets old really quick and it seems to be a worse version of what a real Kirby game is like.
Thanks for reading this review of Kirby's Epic
Fail Yarn, I will make a bunch of more reviews to come in the future, don't forget to check out some of my other game reviews.
My final comments: Here is the stuff in the game that I will never likeoverall:
- Voice acting (It is more terrible than how slow slowpoke moves in pokémon.)
- Impossible to die (I hate this game JUST because you can't die!)
- Repetivity of the "we got the magic yarn" line in every world of the game (Why recycle the same voice over and over? It's like smashing a video game cartridge with your face!)
I just hate the game because of that, and because of how boring the game gets after completing everything in it.
