I'm completely baffled when I look at high ranking staff members profiles. Such as tRIUNE. He has different colored things and a background, how do I get that cool stuff? 
1. How do I get buttons like "New Posts" "Index", etc to be a different color? 
2. How do I put a bg pic on my profile?
3. How do I change the text on my profile?
Help if you can, if you can't thanks for reading .

1. You need to know the html/css to change colors on your profile.
2. You need to know the html/css to change your background picture.
3. You need to know the html/css (again) to change that stuff.

I don't know how much simpler I can make it sound. You need to know html/css or have someone who does do it for you.
