            Excitement is starting to rise, as we grow closer to E3. E3 will take place during June 5 through June 7, in Los Angeles. However, there are already critics talking about certain things that will be shown at E3. One of the things that a lot of gamers are wanting to see is Nintendo’s Wii U. The new game system from Nintendo that has been behind a bunch of controversy with Sony and Microsoft, some believe the release of the Wii U is to force Sony and Microsoft to release their next generation systems much sooner then expected which is somewhere around 2015.

 

            But all is not lollipops and gumdrops for Nintendo as their Wii U is already getting bashed before this years E3 showing. Peter Molyneux, a former chief of Lionhead productions has been quoted in saying in an e-mail sent to Kotaku that, “ Nintendo’s slightly lackluster Wii U is going to have to blow us away with better specs and great 1^st party line ups.”

 

            Apparently, Peter Molyneux isn’t impressed with what Nintendo has done with the Wii U. However, just to remind some of you who don’t remember who Peter Molyneux is. Molyneux is the same guy that hyped up all the Fable games. You know the games that some would say were a total flop and even crap (Fable 3).

 

            Peter goes on in the e-mail that he is looking forward into what Bungie and Value will reveal. As they are suppose to reveal what is next with Facebook integration and social gaming, however, he doesn't say anything more about his opinion of the Wii U in this e-mail other then being a "lackluster" game system.

I wouldn't say Fable 3 is crap, you're actually the first person to say that. I actually loved the game, was better than the first 2 in like every way and the first 2 were great games. The average rating it gets is usually around an 8, which is considered a great score. A crap score would be anything below a 5 in my opinion.

I'm not sure why everyone is so critical of the Wii U, I honestly think it looks awesome and based on the games I've seen for it so far, I think it'll succeed and I definitely plan to get one, possibly even on launch day.

Nintendo has dominated the last 2 E3s in my opinion, I'm curious to see if they "win" it this year. I really think Microsoft and Sony could finally pick it up this year too, especially Sony since I can't remember the last time they had a great E3, and it's been 3 years since Microsoft had a great one (E3 2009 is an E3 I wont forget).

lilwildwolf21 : I'm assuming the comment was made to an article on IGN? Seems like a lot of the people who comment on stuff on IGN are serious die hard sony fans and crap on anything that isn't sony. It's quite annoying actually. I'm a sony fan but I'm also a fan of nintendo and microsoft, those guys can't call themselves true gamers if they are so close minded that they can only like 1 system.

First off Peter Molyneux is a moron. I never listen to anything that he has to say.

I really don't know what to think about the Wii-U but that's because we haven't seen anything about it really. Truth is most of what they are complaining about is speculation anyways. I think it's best to take a "wait and see approach" until we start seeing things that are actual substance.

On the surface the system sounds promising.

keep in mind that everyone thought the Wii would suck when it came out, and it turned into the best selling console of all time, beating their own records.

The only real thing I think they need to fix with the next console is the online component. They need to allow people to easily connect, and play games together. They dropped the ball with regards to that on the Wii

Jordanv78 : I agree, they need to work on the online play and make a friends list similar to Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Another thing I think they should do is add an achievement/trophy system.

I wouldn't say Fable 3 was crap. I would say it wasn't a "great" game, but it wasn't bad either. It just wasn't as good as the original or 2 (in my opinion.)

Moving onto the topic though, the WiiU HAS to blow me away for me to consider buying it. I got burned buying the original Wii. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

I'll probably wait a year or two to gauge how it's doing, and then decide if I want to jump in on it.

As for the Wii, it launched with a bunch of great systems but than it had like 2 or so years of just failure games. I think it redeemed itself in the past 2 years though. I think everyone knows how I use to feel about the Wii based on my controversial Wii thread I made years ago lol. I've never liked that almost all of their games require motion controls, I personally think they should've done with the Xbox 360 has done where only select games use motion controls and the rest don't use it at all.

I have a friend who owns a 360. I was mulling whether or not to get Fable 3 for the PC, and he happened to have it on 360 to help me make a decision. Needless to say I came away disappointed.

About 15 hours or so. And I have tried it... but it didn't really feel all that co-opy.

The host was the only one really able to do anything. So it kind of took away from the rest of the game.
