I have Vista, so my sound on the 1.0.3 version is all messed up. Does anybody know if I will have to manually uninstall NullDc? Thanks for any help in advance

dont know if you've had a try of this fix i found over on ngemu, but i'll list it here for you anyway.

"It turns out some things you edit in the program don't actually edit in the config file.
It's an easy fix.

Edit the nullDC.CFG in notepad:

DefaultImage=defualt.cdi
[nullAica]
BufferSize=1024 <------ EDIT THIS LINE with "2048"
LimitFPS=1
HW_mixing=0
SoundRenderer=1

if you having a saving problem, uncheck the "read-only" property for the nullDC folder.

if that doesnt work, you have to allow folders to show extensions, and rename the nullDC.cfg to nullDC.cfg.bak and your edit version of it to XXX.CFG to nullDC.cfg.

If that doesn't work, then just double it too, 4096 and your sound will only rarely be choppy"

i hope this helps some, let us know how it goes

Thank you DarkHyren for giving this info, but I had actually tried all of this except for doing the whole renaming the files thing - until now. These solutions did not work for me. I also tried messing around with my sound card, since it is realtek (I found that article too). I think it may just be the game that I am running. But, I read somewhere that for Vista, the Beta 1.6 version runs smoother and has fewer sound issues, so I thought that I would try it.
I see all over Google, people saying to reinstall, and uninstall NullDc. I just do not know how. There was not much of an install to begin with if I remember right.

well from what i see the NullDC files are just in a rar archive, and dont install at all, the just run from the extracted exe.

i dont know what the people on google are talking about, there is no need to uninstall, hard considering it doesnt install

just download the beta to a new folder, extract it, and run.
dont forget the bios and d3d files
