Finally, after ages, the time has come for me to review a game with the potential to become THE best game ever. Ever.

Please note, I will be going into EXTREME detail, so if you don't want the game ruined for you, skim or skip.

~Game Play~

--The Cell Stage--
Spore
Welcome to Spore.
You begin by clicking a planet you wish to begin on. Name your planet and choose which you wish to be: Herbivore or Omnivore. (Omnivore will be unlocked later in the game). You begin as a meteor hurtling towards you chosen planet. The meteor cracks open in the sea and you begin your cellular life. Please note what you pick and end with influences your bonuses at the very last stage. Your mission is simple: Eat, Grow, Evolve. If you are Herbivore you eat the small green cellulose (Or whatever it's called) that's floating around. Carnivores can either eat the floating meat or start nibbling on a enemy Cell to kill it and eat it's remains. After you eat about 5 or so pieces, you GROW! Now for the Herbivores comes a new option: Plants. Each plant contains a big collection of cellulose growing on it. Yum yum. After you eat some more, you grow again. Now the Tutorial prompts you to "Call Your Mate". You press the big button in the middle button and you start squealing for your love at first sight. You should notice where it's coming from and swim to her (or him). Now you get into the CREATURE CREATOR. Here you can buy parts with DNA which you gain from eating. Each parts gives you something, or looks just looks spiffy. You can add from anything that gives you more speed or hurts your enemies with things such as Spikes and Things that go "Buzzzzz", among others. Now you hatch your "Second generation" with the new parts and go on eating and killing. This goes on for a bit until you reach the maximum size, which you can see from the bar at the bottom. There are 2 ways to gain more parts: Killing enemies with the part, or cracking open Meteor Shards. After you eat enough, you see your cell do a cute animation where he grows a BRAIN! You now have the potential to advance to the LAND stage! Go into the Creature Editor one final time and now your Cell is 3d! Give him a nice pair of legs, and advance to the land!
--Note: I do however advise you to stick around and collect EVERY part, why? A little thing called "Achievements".

Points for the Cell Stage: 10/10

--The Creature Stage--
Welcome to the land! You and your brethren head onto the beach and make your first nest! Now that you're on land, please note some things: Your Cell-Body parts now have different functions from what they did in the Cell stage. You now have 3 options ahead of you: Carnivore, Omnivore, or Herbivore. Herbivores eat the fruit which grows on the trees, when Carnivores eat the bodies of their fallen enemies, and Omnivores eat both. You should notice some bones on the ground around them, click them and your creature will dig them up, granting you an extra part in the Editor! Woot! Now, onto the meat of this stage. You have 3 options: Attack Fellow Species, Befriend them, or both for continued Omnivore, Herbivore, or Carnivore. You can of course switch during play. If you want to kill everyone, it's simple. Run up to the nearest nest, and make sure you have your "HOSTILE" attitude on (Theres two at the bottom middle, Green is befriend, Red is attack) and start either clicking the attack buttons, or hotkeys. There are 4 attacks; Charge, Bite, Slash, and Spit. Spit is over-time poison damage and a projectile. Charge is done from a distance by running up to said creature and knocking him down. Bite is your spam attack, slash is your heavy-damage slow-recharge attack. Gnaw at the entire nest until it's dead, and they become extinct, granting you DNA points for the Extincti-fy mission. However, you can also Befriend. This is a bit more complicated. Simply walk up to (1) member of the species, hit the "FRIENDLY" attitude button, and click on the creature to begin. Now, this is a simple game of Simon Says. Simply do the same things as the other dude does. You have 4 options: Dance, Sing, Charm, and Pose. The levels of your moves must be at, or higher, than the opponent. (Please note, some parts in the Creature Editor add these abilities such as Charm and attack abilites. Some add more than others, try different ones. NOTE: 2 of the Same Part do NOT stack, thus, if you add 2 "1" charge Horns, you will still have 1 charge, not 2.) Once your bar meets the dudes bar, you will befriend them. Now you must do the same for 2 more and you befriend the species, you can add them to your Pack and heal at their Nest. (More on Packs later). Note: Eventually, your pack of up to 3 others will be competing with their pack of up to 3 others. So, the more you have on your side, the easier it is to win and vice versa. Now let's begin evolving. Do your respective thing (Kill or Befriend) and get some DNA. After you do enough, something happens! YOUR BRAIN SIZE INCREASES! Woo! You can now add another member to your pack! What this means is, if you hit the "FRIENDLY" attitude button and click a fellow member of your species, you can ally yourself with him and he will do whatever you do. You attack, he attacks the same as you. You befriend and he helps. Also, this is a random time to mention this, but do NOT SWIM FAR OUT INTO THE WATER, if you want to find out what happens, I've created a video of this at the following link: . Also a random time to mention this, but you can also get 4 inherent abilities, Sprint, Jump, Glide, and Hide. These are gotten from parts as well, Sprint from Feet, and etc. The only way to get Glide (or better-ly name: Flap) is to add Wings to your beast. Hide is hide, Sprint is to run faster, and jump is jump. Simple and sweet. Now, moving on. After a point or two, you will get a mission to seek a new nest! This grants you a BIG DNA bonus, so follow the little dotted course on your mini map, and get to your new nest! Now, after your bar at the bottom fills up, it's time to evolve! WARNING: DO NOT CONTINUE TO THE TRIBAL STAGE BEFORE YOU ARE DONE PERFECTING YOUR PREFERRED PATH (Omnivore, Carnivore, ETC) AND YOUR CREAUTRE! AFTER YOU ADVANCE, YOU CAN NO LONGER EVER EDIT YOUR CREATURE AND HIS PARTS AND BODY, EVER! IT IS PERMANENT! It is also unfortunate that you cannot click the button to check your preferred path, so try to guess. Now, watch the little animation of how your creature begins to bang a stick against the nest, figure out that it can be used as a TOOL! Throw it up in the air as an act of "WOOHOO!" and hit him BACK on the head, and he lights it to create.....

Spore is an awesome game.. but it looses its flavour during tribal stage, and its not as fun from there on in.. Me and all my friends agree, possibly other people here will aswell.

Well, everyone else is posting, so I will too. Nice review so far, but I think you should post more on the good and bad aspects of the game rather than post a walkthrough/guide.

Also... "do NOT SWIM FAR OUT INTO THE WATER" It actually doesn't really hurt at all. Kinda funny if you ask me. Also, the link doesn't appear. ;P

For a walkthrough it's great so far, but, like I said above...

spore is a good game. i got it for my birthday. i completed all the objectives and now im just messing around on it
