When I was in 6th grade they were building an elevator for handicapped students and they were using a blow torch. A spark of that land on a stack of papers in the class next to the construction and the fire spread. But sadly the fire fighters came... :p

No. The closest thing to a fire that we had at our school was the toaster overheating..... actually I'll take that back. One time somebody blew up the hand dryer machine by stuffing toilet paper in there. The other time a girl somehow lit the toilet paper in the Girl's bathroom on fire as well.

I wasn't even in my school at this time, but once our chemistry teacher told us about a fire. 

She had been doing experiments for the younger school with transition metal fires (essentially just pretty colours for the younger kids). Anyway, some of it had leaked between experiments, and when she did it again, the entire back of the lab was on fire, and they had to replace the gas taps and everything.

Last year some kids set the garbage can in the pit on fire, of course all we saw was smoke

We were lucky enough in my Elementary school to have a large kitchen fire in our kitchen.  Luckily, though, they put the fire out before it spread throughout the school, saving many innocent kids and the one hundred plus year old school.

Actually, yeah, last year. My Senior year. Part of the kitchen caught on fire... something the cooks did. And if filled up most of the hallways with smoke. We got to go home early, which was pretty darn awesome. I spent the time playing my Wii ( I no longer have it).

My elementary school had a fire once the Music teacher was making popcorn and it burst into flames. Not a big deal but it sure stunk up the entire school and caused a lot of panic when the fire alarm went off lol.
