Devil Kings is a 3d Hack and Slay action Game made by Capcom.

As the Title (and its font in the Game) says, this game has a lot in common with Devil May Cry and i would describe it as a mix of DMC and Samurai Warriors.

All begins with a character selection: You may choose one out of six individual Warlords (some of them remain historical persons during the japanese indipendence wars) but every time you beat the game with one of them another one will be available. Each char has an individual set of skills which will be unlucked by leveling up.

2nd: the Map
You have to choose now a territory adjacant to yours to attack. all in all there are about 20 different battlefields with individual Traps, bonusses and other mean things, but more to this later.
When beating a Level, the territory of the beaten warlord will be added to your turf and enemies will start battles at random against their neighbours.
the game ends when the whole country is under your control

3rd - the funny part: Fight

Every map has their own strategical problem to deal with, e.g. in "Battle for Narniva" a giant cannon will fire at you whenever it can,in "Deadwood Counteroffensive" you have to fend off cavellery and in "Storm on the Great Plains" you'll face the strongest enemy in the game.
The Style of fighting is pretty much as in Devil May Cry and Samurai Warriors: Running around and kill everything that moves.
with every beaten Enemy you get EXP, which are used to level up at the end of each Stage, Chests will contain different Items, allowing you to deal more Damage to certain types of soldiers or grant Bonus EXP

A new thing in Battle is the "Marking"-Feature: By pressing the Triangle Button you'll do a "Mark attack" which will temporary make an Enemy more vulnerable to any attack and fill up your Fury-Gauge. Once filled you can unleash your Fury by pressing the circle Button, doind lots and lots of damage to your surrounding.

All in all it is a very good game, but has no Long time motivation

i'd give it 8/10Pts.
