I was wondering if it is OK to copy and paste my posts from Microsoft Word  2010 document and paste them in the body of the Thread. I did it before but when I transferred it to the body of the thread, it messed up the formatting of what I originally had typed and it came out weird on the thread when you look at it. The words were all pushed way to the right for some reason. I liked writing it from Microsoft Word, then pasting to the Forum. Is there a way to fix this or should I just type it in the body like I am currently doing now?

Er... I did this one time. I had to go through my post and edit it, to make it left aligned. Also, if you look right above your words when you are responding, there are text options, just like word.

I think the new post editor allows the word format to be pasted that way, but the old post editor doesn't. So if you'd click the link to switch to the old post editor, you'd probably be able to paste it from Word without it messing up. Or have you already tried that?

No, tRIUNE I have not tried that. I am using the New Post Editor now, I will switch to the old one next time I post something. Thank you guys very much for all your help and advice.

Actually I don't use the new text editor so I didn't think of the options available at the top of the new editor.

There's a clipboard at the top and towards the left for "Paste from Word". That should probably retain whatever format you used.

Otherwise, a different option you could do is to use Word Pad. It has a lot of the options MS Word does, but whatever you paste from there to hear stays in that exact format without any paragraph or sentence warping.

Remember that some formatting (Such as tabs, fonts, tables, etc) won't transfer over to Vizzed due to the nature of HTTP. It is an old and deprecated system, and there isn't much we can do about it.
