Thread title says it all. I would have to say that I have some old memories of the Breath of Fire games being a lot of fun. I am happy to see they are on the site and can't wait to give them a try here very soon. I remember the game not being all that difficult but never got a chance to play the second game so excited to try it too in the next few weeks.

Final Fantasy 2 will always be a personal favorite of mine.

I never played many RPG games on the SNES back in the day, however I did quite enjoy Lufia at the time.  It was the first RPG I had ever played.

16 bit RPG's are my favourite as I see that time period the golden age of Japanese RPG's. Breath of Fire was the first RPG game I played from start to finish and it is still one of my favourites. To me the most underated ones are the games that never made it to America and thus never got a chance to be rated at all :p Luckily through fan made patches most of these have been translated into English.

Some good ones I should mention are Terrinigma which plays very similar to the SNES Zelda game, Treasure of Rudra which is made by Square and has the most innovative magic system I've ever seen, Tales of Phantasia was a lot of fun , Secret of Mana 3 is another great zelda-like RPG that you can play with a friend. There are many many more so this is just the tip of the iceberg.
