Hi I'm On3On and I'm just starting here.

I am looking for advice to establish my online presence here. I unfamiliar with general participation in an online community,
I would like to know about good practice's such as:

1. When would be the best time to go on the Vizzed Board? I would like to avoid adding to the virtual traffic on the site.

2. Relevant information about myself such as time-zone's/availability and so on.

3. And what can I do to reduce the amount of information I have on this site? An example: Removing my old comments/threads/profile when they no longer needed (ask a global moderator?) to keep things simple.

And anything else that I should know.

Well, let's see here...

First off, welcome to Vizzed. Wipe your feet off at the door, don't be stupid, and have fun.

As for your questions :

Well, the best times are probably midnight-ish server time. There's no real problem, though, as one more person isn't going to cause the server to crash.

Erm... Did you just ask us a question about yourself? Anyways, server time is Central time. The chat room is stuck on Central Standard, meaning it's currently at Mountain Daylight Savings.

Erm.. You're on the internet. Anything you put here is gonna be permanent in one way or another. Profiles are never deleted, and posts aren't, either, really. Old threads will be closed, but that's something to deal with when it comes.

And now, some questions for you :

What are some of your hobbies?
Do you like to read? If so, what is your preferred genre?
Do you like Television? Or Movies? List some of your favorites, then!
How about video games? Again, some favorites would be nice, or at least a genre.

Hope this doesn't scare you off, heh.

sliverthundr pretty much has the answers there. Don't think you will be troublesome for the servers. The Retro Game Room would probably cause dificulties becore the form --but even then we're talking about much.

As for posting on the Vizzed Board, I asked Davideo7 (the owner of Vizzed) a question related to posts taking up too much space on the servers, and he said it himself there is no reason to worry. If have any more questions feel free to ask.

Yeah the question's were a bit... obvious but it's good to check.
So! On with your questions. First, regarding genre's in general- it is not a factor for me.

Hobbies: Studying, playing the piano and guitar (learning).

Book's:
Terry Pratchett's (British. Known for the parody fantasy series Disc-World) book's I have enjoyed tremendously.
White-Fang and The Call of the Wild by John London (American).
"The Ragged Trousered Philanthropist's" by Robert Tressell (Irish but lived most of his short life in England I think).
And a few of Spike Miligan's (British. I think.) book's that I've read were very interesting, along with many others that I cannot recall at the moment.

Television/Movies: I have stopped watching TV for quite awhile now so I cant say- as for Movies... I have seen Lot's of movies and I can not think many right now... Godfather, Shawshank Redemption,The Whistle Blower, ugh! I cant think of any others!

Video Games: Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3 (Subsistence version, gotta love non lethal games!) Tenchu 2 (played demo version only) the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series and a handful of RPG's... and a lot of mods for a lot of games.

On3On : well u pretty much got the gist of it from the others the only thing i can add is just not to cuss(a lot of young people here) other than that check out some games in the rgr i garentee u will find some games u love and some u never heard of before so have fun

The only way to know what kind of music I listen to would be to check out the artists themselves. Some of my favorites include Kutless, Switchfoot, Newsboys, and Thousand Foot Krutch, but I listen to a much wider variety than what you'll find with the ones I've mentioned.

The RGR plug in emulator works well for me, so I have a nice variety of games to chose from!

@thing1: Thanks for the offer, I ask if I need help (within reason).
as for your questions- my answers are:
My system of choice: PC (and portables).
Games: Challenging things like platformers ( Mario, sonic, metriod...) puzzles (professor layton, brain training) adventure games (zelda, and so on) stealth games (MGS, tenchu) sandbox and rpg's (final fantasy, Pokémon, and the like).

Favourite game on vizzed (so far): Pokémon Shiny Gold(Rom Hack, X version)
Favourite of all time? Doesn't work like that for me... sorry.

@silverthundr: I do have two things for the TV question:
A sitcom called Spaced (British, seen season one only, cant believe I did not think of it earlier).
A anime called Fooly Kooly (seen the Japanese subtitled version only) out of all the anime's I've seen (small handful), I enjoyed that anime the most (and remember the least).

This is my reply to your question about music. I love Nightwish, it's a lyric metal band but I enjoyed when Tarja was in the band, the new singer is, in my opinion, not really awesome compared to Tarja and her beautiful voice. Then, there's Deathstars, I love "Cyanide" and "Blitzkrieg" (those are some of their good songs in my opinion). I listen to some J-rock bands (especially Visual Kei) like Malice Mizer, Versailles, Moi Dix Mois, old rock bands too (ZZ Top, Europe...) and some soundtracks from videogames

It seems my taste of music is a little out of place here.
