This thread is the official thread to converse about the 2013 NFL Season.

What are your predictions next year? How do you think your favorite team will do this year?

I'm looking forward to start the new season. My Team (The Chicago Bears) have made some interesting moves in the offseason bringing in a new coaching staff that puts more emphasis on offense, as well as bringing in some O Line help which has been GREATLY needed to say the least.

The defense is getting old and in transition so it will be interesting to see what happens. I think they have a good chance of competing for the division title, but the division is tough once again.

I misread the title for this and accidentally closed it, lol. Sorry.

I think the Broncos are a much better team now they have somebody in charge who can play well ALL FOUR QUARTERS.

Gonna be rooting for the Chiefs this year, as always. Making the playoffs at all last year was big for KC.

tj4bigred : No problem at all. I understand.

Yeah the Bronco's will be an interesting team this year. I'll be watching to see how Manning does this year after all he went through last season. If he has a healthy year I think the Bronco's can be pretty decent.

Not so much a prediction as a hope.

I hope the Patriots go 0-16, and fall flat on their face.

Realistically I know it won't happen, but god I hate the Patriots and that Tom Brady guy.

Oh, and I have a feeling the Cowboys will surprise people this year.

I think the Packers and the 49ers are the teams that are going to be in the NFC championship game if they don't have to play each other before then. I think it will be a rematch between the Patriots and the Ravens in the AFC championship game. I got the Packers beating the Ravens in the Superbowl. I don't think the AFC teams can hold up with the NFC teams, and if the Packers don't win, whoever represents the NFC will win the Superbowl. I think the Chargers, my favorite team, will have to have a better start to the season and keep playing consistent throughout the season. They are in a pretty weak division with only the Broncos to worry about since they got Peyton Manning. I think they could go 10-6 this season and win the division, and hopefully make a good playoff run. I don't think Tim Tebow will get a start unless Mark Sanchez gets hurt and that injury will have him out for some games, but I do think he will play more than what people think he will. Tebow is a better option on any short down situation with his ability to run and create mismatch with the defense, they just have to create some plays for Tebow so it won't be so obvious on what he is doing while he is on the field.

I think Tebow + Ryan won't mix in New York, so I think they might trade Tebow for someone else. I also think Luck will do worse than RG3 this season because RG3 has the better team around him.

Since Packers did well in the past season and got embarassed in the playoffs, they still have potential to win this year.

49ers have Moss now. I have a feeling that it will go down as a bust.

Tebow to Jets won't mix. It makes more sense to have Tebow as a HB since the speed.

Peyton Manning might do well for Broncos but it depends. He has rust for being out for more than a year.

The rookies this season including Luck for Colts and RG3 for Redskins will vary. We'll see.

After the way this offseason has gone for the Bears, as long as they don't have any serious injuries I believe they have the potential to compete for the Super Bowl this year. They still have a fairly good defense. Add the fact that they have gained some serious offensive firepower now and you have a pretty damn good team. Hell last year they were one of the best teams in the NFL before Jay went down.

You never know though, the NFL is a crazy league. Anything can happen.

I'm a NY jets fan, and they are probably gonna go 4-12 maybe? Ha ha too much drama and whining over contracts.

Bills are looking scary defensively.

Packers always look great, Aaron Rodgers is always a consistent QB, not to mention all the great WR

Looking forward to the QB battle with the cardinals, Don't know how long Kolb will last. That O-line keeps getting him hurt and he is not fast enough ha ha.

Lets hope for a great year with no serious injury's and fair play

I wonder how the Bengals will fare this season...? I think they made the playoffs on the ease of their schedule last year, and are a prime target for a slump, but I think they at least have a chance to make a repeat appearance. We'll see how it goes.

pacman1755 : Chances are, Tebow will be more or less used as a running back that can pass instead of a QB that can run, but I think Ryan got Tebow as a locker room move tbh. That locker room needs all the +++'s it can get...

Jordanv78 : Just one question keeps me from calling the Bears playoff bound... HAVE THEY FIXED THAT LEAKY O-LINE YET??? Seriously, that's the REASON they keep getting in trouble offensively every year... One too many big hits, and they lose Cutler, or Forte. And they've never had a decent back-up before to make the best of a terrible situation. At least they have a back-up runner that should be pretty good now... But what about a back-up QB?

This could be a long thread. Anyway...

Tebow: Do I believe he will start? Yes. Will he make a difference? Maybe. But people are looking ahead. Forgetting Sanchez aren't we. Last year was a bummer for him, but he does have the ability to carry a team to the PS. He did it 2 seasons ago. But with Tebow coming, Sanchez loses attention. Don't get me wrong, I love Tebow, but really, we are forgetting Sanchez.

Manning: Good move. But remember how old he is. One, two, maybe three years left in him. He will be successful, but my question is: How long will he last.

As regarding my favorite team, the Texans, yea I believe they have the power to get at least to the AFC Championship. Fingers crossed!

its hard to predict who who go for the NFC. so many talented teams like the bears, falcons, packers, saints, giants, eagles, etc... but for the AFC, probably the patriots or steelers as usual. Im rooting for the falcons. Always been for the falcons since i first heard about football. hopefully we can win our first superbowl. as for tim tebow, hell probably be used in the redzone.

im going with the steelers and then the lions for nfc. lions are very talented and have a great coaching staff. they are going to have rolly reef start and Kyle vandin bosh and they have the best wide receiver in the game. Calvin Johnson. and they have mathew stafford starting. so they have it all.

Beastmode64 : The Steelers usually find a way to be good, but I think this year they are going to have a down year. The line hasn't looked that great and the RB spot is thin at best. We shall see though.

Actually I think the Lions have a trough road this year. sure they have a lot of talent, but they showed last year that their chemistry as a team isn't that good. Also they have players that keep breaking the rules which might cause added drama. On top of that they play in a division that is going to be very competitive. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make the playoffs this year.

Jordanv78 :   I know it's only currently the first half of the game, but how about those Bears?  I like how they are handling their running backs and Brandon Marshall is looking like an amazing addition to the team.

mlb789 : Yeah dude. If Jay has time to throw it's gonna be tough to beat them. Marshall is pretty hard to stop and Jay is already firing missiles. I almost feel bad for the Colts DB's Forte and Bush are a hard tandem too.

Jay could wind up with 400 yards passing! lol I'll take 24 first half points any day ;-)

If everyone stays healthy I'm confident in the Bears ability to compete with the best in the conference.

Jordanv78 :   I completely agree.  I remember when we were getting mad at Cutler for being bad, but it turned out it was the O-Line's fault lol.
On another note, I'm smelling upset by the Rams at the moment.  They are doing pretty well against the Lions.

mlb789 : Yeah Let's go Ram! lol (I never say that)

Anyways I like how they have been able to take it easy in the 2nd half so they can be fresh for Thursday's Green Bay game.

That Philly/Browns game is a stinker lol
