I'm pretty intuitive, and I know once I get on the right track I'll be able to handle it.  but I want to start a emerald hack, and I have no idea where to start.  If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

Try downloading visual boy advance r advancemap they r the best. Then u have to download the rom for the game u want (in this case emerald) that way u can hack the actual game. As for actually changing the maps and story I'm clueless as well but i know u have to use an emulator like the two listed above. i hoped this helped at least even a little bit. If u do find out how to change the maps and story please let me know. I have been interested in this for awhile

Thanks everyone.  I have figured a few things out, I used advancemap and redid the entire map in emerald so far...im trying to editor the storyline, but having some problems...I tried using advance text but it wont work,  I've tried a bunch of different ways to get it started but nothing...does anyone know of another program? btw I have another thread about the hack I'm working on, if anyone is interested in beta testing it when I'm done let me know.
