Recently I came across a gem of a game for the Mac. I know
what most of you are thinking wait a game for a Mac? And it is actually good?
As bazar as that may sound it is actually true. There are games out for the Mac
and they are pretty good one in fact. Most of the games for Mac have been out
for years before they finally converted them to the Mac. Some of the games came
out for consoles and PC then a couple of years later a developer other then the
original developer of the original game comes along and converts the game over
so a Mac can play it.

Now the game that I came across was Doom 3. This game has been out for quite a while
since 2003 if memory serves me right, and rumors had be roaming around that
Doom 4 is in development but nothing has be confirmed. I originally played Doom
3 on the x-box and at first really didn’t like it then the movie came out in
2004 liked the movie even though the story line of the movie was way different then the story-line of the game.

However, now that I have played it for the Mac, it was well worth the $10 that I spent
to download it. I have found myself having to be torn away from the game. The
graphics are way better then I remember them ever being. The game play is
smooth with the exception of some things but those are so mild that they
actually make the game better. What I’m talking about is that when you get hit
the screen distorts just a little bit that you can’t see where you’re aiming
for like a second. Which isn’t part of the game just the way it was converted
to the Mac and I actually like that it happens makes it a little bit more realistic then just the screen
flashing red when something hits you.

So if you have a Mac or access to a Mac I recommend you check this game out it maybe an
old game but it still has the freshness of a new game and the game time on it
is pretty decent (so far I have spent a total of 5 hours on this game). For a
first person shooter/horror game that is pretty good. Since Call of Duty games
are usually 2 to 3 hours of game time in single player.

I give this game a 10 out of 10 the graphic are good the
story line is great the game time is nice and long, and the game play is nice
and smooth. What else could you ask for in a game like this one? Give Doom 3
for the Mac or the PC a look and you won’t be disappointed.

Doom 3 for the Mac? That's pretty cool. I'm not surprised that its pretty good for it. Mac is a special computer that holds secret gems to success. That, and Doom 3 itself is a awesome gem itself. If I had a mac and Doom 3, I'd play it.
