Totaldramaman, casualty, the Godfather is dead, and I doubt there's more than one. I'll let you two have a but a few posts to take back any accusation against me. And pin it on each other, since there aren't that many people left to accuse!

I will also reiterate: Now that the Godfather's been found, it is absolutely certain that a Researcher turn (there's still one left, after all) will be wasted if it's pressed to check my role. Therefore, I highly suggest the person who wants to live -out his role- and have the researcher confirm it now. I will hold my vote until then.

Forger is confirmed to have been in play. Unlikely to be dead unless WarpStar himself was the Forger, pulling an insane suicide gambit.

Did you perhaps run a gambit early in the game to try to keep suspicion off you by attempting to make it appear that the forger was setting you up?

Leggy, you need to design setups better. Insanely townsided, Researcher breaks everything. May I suggest a Mortician (someone who has the same effect as a Researcher, but can only check dead people) instead?

The yellow submarine grew quieter by the day.

The people didn't trust each other. They didn't like each other.

They had killed several innocents, and just moved on like it was nothing.

But a small group had come together with the intent of saving as many of them as possible.

This group managed to get by to this crucial stage of the game... and the previous night, the loose cannon got lucky and killed the godfather.

That means that there was at least one obstacle left. The known forger.

According to one of the bystanders, there were 2 people the forger could be, although logically, 3 people were not yet confirmed. As a result... it was NOT an autowin situation.

Researcher makes it impossible to claim. Everyone can massclaim d1 and it'd be autowin, town was moronic for not exploiting this.

Oh, and I was right on who the bad guy was. That makes me happy.

The setup for the game was pretty confusing really. Yeah, the town had the upper hand, but I don't think it was the confusing roles that did it. they just had more experienced and better players in general.

Still, MAFIA CAN'T CLAIM.

I only chose to play blind to see how the game would go, and I was pleased with the result. Honestly the reason the bystanders won WAS experience. Someone70 admitted to a mistake. The forger didn't give me a PM the last night (which could have been a huge difference), and you often had the bad luck of investigating people AS they died.

the_casualty : The other end of this coin is that if the Mafia can't claim, then they can still use the Researcher to spread distrust.

Notice how the researcher can check ANY claim? You could've claimed someone said they were x, then had him suspicious of that person when that turns out not to be the role. Or you could theoretically run a gambit to save your own skin by outting one of your supposed allies by the Researcher.
You could also have joined a massclaim and given the Researcher an overload of options to choose from.

Or, you know, YOU COULD'VE KILLED THE RESEARCHER BEFORE THE LAST NIGHT OF PLAY.
silverthundr was WIDE OPEN, and if you KNEW he was such a high-tier target, you should've killed him BEFORE he was able to assemble a team. Instead, you shot at random and hit a tree! Your biggest mistake in the whole game.
