Still a waste of my time however... my video says it for me. I posted it on chat because I'm still getting used to the site. I mostly game here to play games, not chat, or write reviews. However, I suppose it does help me spice up my youtube channel to do reviews of games I have played on here. Some issues I did not cover in the video were that.
PREMISE:
The premise was good. A lot of what attracts me to a game, is the premise. If I like the concept, I'll see a game through usually. But this was just so poorly executed, I couldn't. And quite frankly, it made me lose all faith in pokemon, that gamefreak, upon all the other broken crap, allowed some God awful ability, that completely destroys meta gaming.
HACKS:
I love playing hacks. I like seeing what people can accomplish, without the monetary incentive. Hackers are not the big business guys, spamming the same title over and over, hackers put more heart into it... I never said there wasn't a few black hearted people in the mix.
JRPG:
I'm actually on a quest to find a good jrpg. As really, I can't find one. I can't think of one decent jrpg, other then Blue Dragon. Which I still got bored with, but I enjoy it when I do feel up to playing. I've yet to actually beat it though, as it cannot hold my interest long enough to see it through.
As far as the actual rating stats that the site says to cover...
GRAPHICS/SOUND: Typical of a pokemon game.
ADDICTIVE:
Well... to tell you I do not want to see it through. The passion of a new pokemon experience and grim dark premise will fade fast.
STORY:
The story was just poorly constructed, and sounds like it's trying to rip off an anime. A bad anime. I don't find the forced jokes, the rail roading plotline, or the pop culture and manga references amusing. It's the sort of train wreck that would happen if George Lucas wrote Family Guy.
DEPTH:
There is a lot to do. But mostly it's to advance you to the next part, and you're basically guessing. It's not really difficult to figure out, but nothing really feels like a choice. You're just kind of dragging your feet, to get to the next part, and avoid getting slaughtered by overpowered trainers.
DIFFICULTY:
I was skeptical about putting it this high at first. This game is not difficult in that it literally puts you up against unbeatable odds, (that would be darksiders...) what makes it difficult, is nothing is explained, there's no way you could possibly know, and it cheaply pits you against enemies that will undoubtedly be equal or greater in strength then you are. The experience system is gimped, and nobody feels like level grinding for five hours to compete. That's not difficult, that's just a chore.
