Capcom has dashed the hopes of Megaman Legends 3 and has lost the creator of Megaman from the company. What do you believe the fate is for the Blue Bomber? Personally, I think that he will manage to return somehow, but maybe at some other point in time. But I fear that all his games will eventually end up in the retro games room.

i didn't vote cause it don't makes sense with the poll. Yes it will continue or Yes it will go away what does that mean??
And the old classics on the nes even the downloadable with the same retro sprite are good. But when i first saw the X series i wasn't impress but when X-3 came out i like it.Now battle network mega man have a new ugly look and the gameplay is no longer the same.So MegaMan have gotten downhill. |

Personally I think Capcom has abandoned the development of new Mega Man games.
I could be wrong, maybe they are in deep cover on a megaman project
Either way, I feel that the games stopped being good for my tastes when X7 was released - I never liked the GBA or DS games. I think they need to work on a new X9 IN 2D, then they'll renew my interest in the franchise. |

Yeah, they really have gone downhill. I really don't like the MegaMan Battle games for the Game Boy Advanced, and ones made after that couldn't hold my interest. They have just strayed too far from the atmosphere of MegaMan games, it is like they are completely different things. A lot of other games that have lasted through a couple generations have successfully managed to adapt to new gaming style but keeping the same fun atmosphere. Unless they get in touch with its roots, MegaMan is probably going to end.

The owner of MegaMan quit Capcom.
This means they can not make any more MegaMan games, Nya~. However, I heard that there was some story that the owner is making a new gaming company to continue the MegaMan franchise, or something. Might not be the last we'll see of him, Nya~. |

By "Yes", I meant that it will not return. As for it going downhill, I have to agree on that. Megaman started out really strong, but, similar to Sonic, it too has gone downhill. Now that I think about, maybe that is what Capcom is good at. I have noted that the majority of its games, with the exception of Street Fighter have all started well, but ended fairly badly, diminished to a memory. I think that Capcom should put more thought into sequels. And anyway, I heard that the creator did not want to make anymore Megaman games.

Dr_Perez : Crap, I wish you would've made that clear in the beginning
. I chose no, because I thought that you were referring ''yes'' as in it will continue. Anyway, I don't think Megaman is even relevant to Capcom anymore. After Keiji Inafune left the company, the blue bomber has been slowly fading away from the company. Capcom stated that he hasn't been ''forgotten'' and that there maybe games coming in the future. But, I believe it was just a cop-out to silence MM fanboys/girls for cancelling both Megaman games and blaming the fans for their cancellation. Today's era, Capcom only cares about milking to death their heavy-hitting franchises and that's Street Fighter and Resident Evil (both are starting to wear down as well). So, I would tell blue bomber fans to not hold their breath for a new game, cause Capcom only cares about money these days. |

I will always love the Mega Man Classics. Although My Favorite games in the Series are 1-4 on the NES, I like the SNES games as well.
I admit to losing track of the Battle Network games, and some of the other games that have come out over the years, but I will always be a fan of the classic 2D Mega Man |

In all honesty only time can tell. Ever since Keiji Inafune quit, Mega Man Games have stopped. I'd like for it to continue but I don't know if it will in all honesty. Btw ur question and answers don't go together. Idk which part of the question you want me to answer.

While I LOVE the Megaman series, I really doubt of the series' continuing. What with Kenji Inafute completely leaving Capcom and thus the Megaman series and Capcom apperently not caring enough , I seriously have my doubts. Though to be fair, since Capcom's meddling the series is the result of X6, Zero 4, and the Zero series not being able to explore Zero's past, all of which was against Inafute's intentions, I can see why he would leave.

Will Mega-Man disapear?
Answer is:..."Like a virgin on Prom night." I have another thread describing that if Capcom is not bought by another company soon all of our favourite games and series will eventually be gone. Capcom keeps using cheap ploys to squeeze money from its consumers. They keep asking for a buyer to get the game twice. Plus make a monthly payment to enjoy D.L.C. Street Fighter 4 Twice. Marvel Vs Capcom 3 twice. Mega-Man Cancelled More than twice. Honestly I could care less these days. Mega-Man really gave me an "Ulcer" with the ending to part 4 being a cliffhanger. Plus I had so many issues getting a copy of X4, or X5, or X6,... I had no idea there was an X7 or X8. Plus I heard they were not good at all. Hate to say it but if Mega-Man does not get a new title any-time soon he will go the way of "Dino Crisis" and never be heard of again. I'll miss the blue bomber. But... There is always a chance to move on. Good Luck To All. I'm done. Stick a fork in me. Peace. |

It better, because I'm with the battle network and star force series. Yes, MMBN has finished and I'm happy with how it ended, but star force must at least have one more game!

Whoops. I should have read on before voting. I said "No", but I meant I didn't expect it to continue, but hey, I was unaware that there were any made after 64 (shows how much I keep up with handhelds). With that knowledge, I would have to say "Maybe", if that were an option.

I'm not going to cast a vote for this because I just don't understand what you're trying to ask me.
That question and those answers are like, double backing me here. So... Will Megaman Continue? Or will Megaman Fade away? Yes or No. If I say yes or no it'll negate everything because Yes it will continue/fade away and No it will not continue/fade away. But enough of being a cynical tard, as much as I hate to think it will go away eventually, that's probably what's going to happen. But, I've heard rumors that Capcom apologized for what they did with the Megaman Legends 3 stunt they pulled and might actually be developing another Megaman game behind closed doors. But it's still only a rumor. Short answer? Only time will tell. |

I for one believe in the MegaMan fan base, and with that I believe that the games will continue.
The franchise has certainly been in a rough patch as of late, but there will always be fans shouting at Capcom for more MegaMan. |
