I never cheat because I listen in class and my teacher rule about cheating is that if you caught cheating you and the person you were copying the answer from will both get the zero an the test or quiz.

In high school, I never felt the need to cheat.  I always did well and I was more concerned about getting people to NOT copy from me.
In college though, I was more stressed and was in a bad time in my life where I made a few bad decisions.  So  actually cheated quite a bit.  The professors made it way too easy to do so, but that didn't give me the right to cheat.

Well to be completely honest here, i go to online schools so it is very easy to cheat since ti sometimes tells you what the correct answer was so i just guessed, wrote down the correct answeres and took it again.

Now i used to do that but after a little while i kind of figured out this was hurting my grade, and the fact i chnaged schools a year afterwards so now i cannot cheat on tests

Argh! I had to come here just to post a little rant.  My kids cheat ALL the time. It's like an epidemic that they just can't get over! I've graded about four assignments from six classes and almost ALL of them simply copy the answers out of the book.  They KNOW they don't get any credit if they do that, so I don't know if they think I'm dumb or what.

I think many students don't realize that answers in the back of the book are merely for you to be able to check your understanding... not so you can write down the answers and call that 'doing homework'!!!

I haven't really cheated recently, because when I do, I feel super guilty about it later...  Sometimes in my science class, if I don't get my homework done, I just copy it off my best friends work, ans she copies off mine sometimes.  It never makes you a better student to cheat though...

The trick is to tell them "SHOW ALL WORK OR NO CREDIT!" They will still cheat, but they will have to do some work to at least show that they did the work to get full credit.

I never cheat, because I don't need to. I just pay attention in class and understand the subjects, sometimes I even show up to tests without having studied for them (Last semester I went to my final test in Danish without having studied for it and got a 9/10 score).
