I liked the first zelda game. I used to have fun playing that with my grandma when I was little, shooting the little arrow beams out of the sword at the monsters.

Actually I have a new favorite. I just played LOZ: A Link to the Past for SNES and its pretty good! I really like it. Its my new favorite now

I'm probably gonna have to give my typical Satellaview vouch, and go with "BS Zelda no Densetsu". I know when a game's my favorite when I've memorized details down to the pixel.

My favorite classic Zelda games are the CDi games. (No! Don't kill me, it was a joke!)

I haven't played very far into Link to the Past, so I'm going to say the original. It's just amazing. The amount of great enemies, items, huge landscape, and details is incredible for a game of that size. It was only 128 Kb! It was such a revolutionary game in so many ways, and it deserves lots of respect.

I have always liked a link to the past, great game and tons of fun to beat over, and over, and over again. 
 
Though I do like Zelda II a great amount because of the difficulty involved.

My favorite classic Zelda game is Zelda II: The Adventure of Link because there is more to see and do plus it is much more difficult to play.
