This is a common complaint with this game. Most who fixed the problem said that they did not complete their save before closing because it can apparently seem like it is done. If you are sure this is not the problem, post here again. If it is, post here anyway so we know that it isn't an issue anymore.

Depends on how you save. If you save it like using the Save blocks, I can see your problem, sometimes it doesn't save like that when you are playing it since it doesn't function EXACTLY like playing it with a real N64, when you need to save, you should hit F2. To load it to play later, press F4. That's what I do.

It seems that while the games allow saving locally, which by the way is saving inside the game, it isn't exactly full-proof. For example I too have lost about 2 or 3 games in Paper Mario due to the issue.

For now, you should just use the F2 to rely on saving. It is far more reliable and far less likely to fail you.

Actually I have had this happen to me many times before with my save files where everything is deleted. Sometimes I press reset and see if it will have my memory back on. If that doesn't work then I close my browser completely and re-open it and usually my memory is back. If this doesn't work for you either then most likely your probably gonna have to start from the beginning. And when I tried using F2 & F4 load and save state it always caused my game to freeze so I just saved normally in the game.
