Okay, here are a few Zelda Ocarina of Time problems I've come across:

  1. I can't catch the fish in the fishing game.  I get them on the hook and they always come off.
  2. There's some strange pauses in the game sometimes, like the program is hanging up for a moment.  There's a buzz in the audio when this happens, too.  Then it continues as if nothing had happened.
  3. When I'm trying to use the chat side of the screen, the keystrokes have an effect on the game.  (I've taken to having Link try to play the Ocarina to get around this problem).
  4. Sometimes, when I'm using the "C" keys, which are the number pad keys, they end up as numbers in the chat screen!  I get around this one by clicking my Windows cursor outside the screen.
  5. I've had the whole Zelda game screen shift up in the window about 1/4 of the way, as if it had a bad vertical hold or something.  I solve this one by clicking on the maximize screen button on the window and then back again.  An odd sensation, having the picture creep up.

That's about all.  I realize that these are all minor problems.  Still, I like the game and get around the problems as best I can.  This is a great site!

Tom and Jerry Fists of Fury doesn't work.  The controls will not allow you to select a character.
On Mugen 64 nor the regular.

mr.pace : I have confirmed this game works with 1964, although I do admit something is strange with the controls. Issue here being that I'm not sure if the game itself just had awkward controls or of there is something strange with the rom.

I would lean towards this game having awkward controls.

I'm having issues with the legend of Zelda ocarina of time with the fact that the lava in the fire temple has disappeared! Whenever I reset the emulator the lava reappears but shortly disappears again and I cant fix it without a reset. Also the game will also the floors sometimes do not appear so its like walking on air.

as you can see no lava and you can walk on it as well witch is odd. Anyways it bothers me since its kinda odd walking on nothing. This bug happens in Hyrule field sometimes as well as buildings especially the temple of time and it looks weird when you cant find the pedestal for a while since the floor disappeared as well as the pedestal.Thankyou if you look in to this and the browser im currently using is Mozilla Firefox which works best for the emulators.

Hi.

What's up with Zelda Majora's Mask?  When I load the game, I get the start screen fine, the select player screen is okay, too.  Then when the game actually begins, my screen goes gray with occasional swaths of black as scenario proceeds.  I can hear the audio okay and yet there is no video.  When I press the key to enter the SELECT screen, it comes up okay, too.  When I go back to the game, it is gray again.  Resetting does no good.

Is there a solution to this?

I'd like to play it but cannot in it's present state.

   Sincerely,

      Phil Sims

SuperGameBoy1 :

I have that same problem with Turok!  I can't play it because it is so slow to respond!

If you figure out the cause, let me know.  I'd like to play it again.

Phil Sims : I have noticed that there are 2 Emulators for the Nintendo 64 (Mupen64Plus and 1964) and they both have advantages and disadvantages. If you play Turok 2 Seeds of Evil on the Mupen64Plus Emulator, It works 100 times better than the 1964 Emulator because each Game works differently on each Emulator. If you play any Nintendo 64 Game on the Mupen64Plus Emulator, You cannot configure your controls meaning you cannot use your PC Controllers and each Emulator has different Plugins. Hopefully another RGR Plugin will be release so we can use our PC Controllers on the Mupen64Plus Emulator.

SuperGameBoy1 :

Thanks.  I did notice that, too.  I don't like the keyboard controls because I'm using a laptop and the keyboard is small anyway.  I have a tendency to push the wrong button at the wrong time with the keyboard.

I, too, hope that they come out with an emulator that will allow me to use my game pad.

Sincerely,

Phil Sims

Well I'm having problems playing super smash bros. And Pokémon stadium. Seems every time I try and play it, it tells me the plug in crashed. So I tried all the troubleshooting ideas and still nothing. I don't think its my laptop because I can play any other games perfectly.

13irdo0 : These games do indeed work but they have issues emulating for some people. I would advise trying both Emulators for the N64 games...and play around with the plugins to see if you can get something that is more stable for you.

I can't change the controls for Kirby 64 The crystal shards and they're so awkward that it is hard to even play. Thanks Davideo, I mean it.

Something that I noticed that hasn't been noted here yet:

Pokemon Snap:
When you play the game, the center "focus" point of the camera is supposed to enlarge and glow red when the camera is focused on something that it recognizes - such as the Doduo and Pidgey at the beginning of the first level. This causes three major problems.

1. The lack of this makes it infinitely harder to center the Pokemon in the image, which is necessary for getting the maximum points. (Centering gives a x2 Multiplier)

2. Certain events will not occur without this; for example... you have to take pictures of Diglett three times to make it evolve into Dugtrio. (During the same level) Without this, the game does not recognize that you are taking pictures of Diglett... and thus it does not evolve.

3. You cannot beat the game with this being out because the lack of this "trigger" occurring also causes the "Pokemon Signs" to not be recognized. This prevents you from moving on within the game. On top of that, in the same manner as described in the #2 problem, you cannot achieve certain areas due to #2 not occurring.

007- The World's Not Enough doesn't seem to load correctly on 2 certain levels. Those 2 are "King's Ransom" and "City walkways 2". It also tends to crash or not load the emulator a few times.

Phil Sims : N64 games in general don't pause while using the side-chat or doing anything in another window the way other games do. I noticed the same issue in every N64 game I've played.
