Hey, I'm trying to set up a way to play three players on the SNES (like Secret of Mana) and the NES (like RC Pro-am). I have gotten the system to recognize the 2 USB controllers I have plugged in but when I try to make the keyboard the 3rd player, it doesn't seem to recognize it. I also tried making one of the controllers the 3rd player and then that controller isn't recognized. So basically, the 3rd player isn't working. Any suggestions?

Just a quick question. Is this site or emulators the only time you have issues with your 3rd player not being recognized. To test this, try playing a computer game that enables three players on the same computer (if one exists). If you don't own/find one, try using the controllers and keyboard of another function and see if the third one is still out. I suggest this because it might not be an emulator problem. It might be similar to the reason why many computers don't recognize 4 keys being pressed at the same time. Often, the max you can push at the same time and have them being individually read is 3. It might be possible that the maximum amount of sources inputting information like that that your computer can handle is 2. Reply to my post to let me know how it turns out.

EDIT: I am also going to move this to the help subforum in hopes that more of the RGR staff or someone else who has a solution will see this.

Hey, I have tried it a couple times recently and it has been working now. For some reason on some days I can adjust the controllers/keyboard and make them work and some days I can't. Though, it is usually fixed by me just restarting my computer. Any ideas on why this happens?

(My laptop is fairly new and I don't think that it is the main cause.)

(And if there isn't an answer to this question, it's not a big deal. I'll just continue restarting my computer when needed.)

Well, I am at a loss for the reason for this. This kind of stuff has happened with me in the past with computers where sometimes something works, and then it won't the next day. Computers are stubborn, I suppose. I was actually going to ask you how this worked out. I will go ahead and close this since there doesn't seem to be much more that can be added to this. If you disagree, go ahead and PM me to ask about reopening it.
