Is there any sort of official writing to follow when it comes to Norse mythology?
I mean Christians has the bible, Then there's the Koran for the Islams.

Do you have any "officially" approved script or similar?

Note: Im no proffesor of this stuff just a beliver of it, that have made quite some research.

Oh great the first question that isn't on msn is one that i can't give a straight answer to.

Too keep this fairly simple. I don't know.
Since the norse changed religion to christianity and that changed pretty much all of our lifestyle.
Instead of having a "midvinter" ceremony now we celebrate christmas.
(I know we didn't do that back then, just bare with me ok)
There was a big change, and there was a ban on norse stuff about 400-500 years after the roman got to us.
And then most of the stuff was burned, and many belivers were either convinced or "disposed" of.

(Note I have nothing against you christians for that)

But like always when stuff gets banned, we hide it until they calm down about it.

But to summarise: There must have been one, maybe there still is. But sadly enough its probably gone.

We still have most of it though but no big book like the bible.

Here's an interesting question. Are you offended by games like Final Fantasy that utilizes Norse mythology?

Ragnarök, "The beginning of the end"

In short:
Ragnarök was a destined battle between Loki, The trickster god, and the other gods.

I'ts very complicated so if you don't mind i post a good answer after i get home from school.

No, actually i think it's good that they do that.
As long as people hear about it every now and then, they won't forget about it.

Now that's a good reply. I feel the same way about my religion. =P Pity many people take offense about such things. I await that explanation about Ragnarok too.

Now to explain Ragnarök.
I played ragnarok online for a while but i didn't think much at all had to do with the norse.
For example: If a priest heals someone a giant cross does not appear.
We don't use the cross...
(damn game if its gonna use our religion they can atleast get it right)

Well, it started with a prothecy, (from the future seing "Norns" (Nornor in Swedish))that there would be a great war to determine the fate of the world (only our world "Ultima Thule" (more on that later))

The war would vage between:

Team 1
Loki, the trickster god
Balder, Nothing except a single tree can hurt him(he still feels pain though), was revived and brought from Hel's domain just in time for Ragnarök.
(I can tell you how to kill an imortal god next if you want)
Hel (Loki' daughter)the goddess of the death realm)(Think a woman hades),
Two legendary giants one made of solid ice and one made of fire.
The humongous wolf Fenrir that just before Ragnarök swalloed the sun (he can change his size)
Nidhögg a giant dragon that gnaws on the world tree.
A swarm of undead and ghost vikings brought from the domain of Hel.
And usual giants and other monsters

Team 2
Odin, The might allfather, that knows all. (I can tell you how some other time)
Frigg, Odins wife, the goddess of fertility and growth.
Tor, The mighty Thundergod wealding Mjölner/Mjolnir.
(Mjölner is the symbol of our religion, just like your cross)
Tyr, The one-handed god of war,(His name means god)(Tor's older half brother)
Hod, Balders blind twin brother, the god of poetry and winter.
Heimdall, he guards Bifrost (The entrance to Valhalla)
(He can hear the grass grow and see millions of miles away)
Frej, the god of love (passion)
Freja, the goddess of love (the love-dovey one)
(Frej and Freja are brother and sister.)

The valkyries (Odin's elite army) (they are all women):
Skuld (highesat ranked, one of the norns mentioned above)
Brynhild (the leader)
Mist (odin closest servant)
Trud (Tor's daughter, her name means strength)
Rist
Gondul
Gunn
Herfjötur
Hild
Hlökk
Skogul
Svava
Syn

The Einhjars (the hearos chosen by the valkyries to forever fight and party in Valhalla)
(Think of it as a really really big army of vikings)(probably drunk)

And thats just the most important ones .______.

Well there was a great war and almost all died.
The survivors were among others Balder (imortal)
Hel "survived" aqs the goddess of death shes hard to kill.
Half of her have been dead from birth.

here's a pic to show you how i think it might have looked.
Hel

Tor's three children:
The valkyrie Trud and the sons Magne and Mode.
Trud stayed to live in Sweden, Magne in Norway and Mode, in Finland.
Their descendants might still live her like normal people, but it's quite impossible to know if anyone is related to one of them.
Of course more survived but i haven't found any reliable facts about it.

Note: This is just a summary
Well Neyro was this enough?
Now tell me the next thing you wanna know

No offense but most of your explanation was about who played the major role. Could you go in-depth as to what happened during Ragnarok?
Also, would a Valkyrie say yes if I asked her out?

Well I did descend from the People of the Rus (Pronounced Rys) who were Vikings that sailed down a river constantly and caused the people to start calling them that.

Note: All names are in their pathetic english forms (no offense) If you want to know the swedish names and what they mean. Just tell me wich ones.

Ragnarok ("Doom of the Gods")

also called Gotterdammerung, means the end of the cosmos in Norse mythology.
It will be preceded by Fimbulvetr, the winter of winters. Three such winters will follow each other with no summers in between. Conflicts and feuds will break out, even between families, and all morality will disappear. This is the beginning of the end.

The wolf Skoll will finally devour the sun, and his brother Hati will eat the moon, plunging the earth into darkness. The stars will vanish from the sky. The rooster Fjalar will crow to the giants and the golden rooster Gullinkambi will crow to the gods. A third rooster will raise the dead.

The earth will shudder with earthquakes, and every bond and fetter will burst, freeing the terrible wolf Fenrir. The sea will rear up because Jormungand, the Midgard Serpent, is twisting and writhing in fury as he makes his way toward the land. With every breath, Jormungand will stain the soil and the sky with his poison. The waves caused by the serpent's emerging will set free the ship Naglfar, and with the giant Hymir as their commander, the giants will sail towards the battlefield. From the realm of the dead a second ship will set sail, and this ship carries the inhabitants of hell, with Loki as their helmsman. The fire giants, led by the giant Surt, will leave Muspell in the south to join against the gods. Surt, carrying a sword that blazes like the sun itself, will scorch the earth.

Meanwhile, Heimdall will sound his horn, calling the sons of Odin and the heroes to the battlefield. From all the corners of the world, gods, giants, dwarves, demons and elves will ride towards the huge plain of Vigrid ("battle shaker") where the last battle will be fought. Odin will engage Fenrir in battle, and Thor will attack Jormungand. Thor will victorious, but the serpent's poison will gradually kill the god of thunder. Surt will seek out the swordless Freyr, who will quickly succumb to the giant. The one-handed Tyr will fight the monstrous hound Garm and they will kill each other. Loki and Heimdall, age-old enemies, will meet for a final time, and neither will survive their encounter. The fight between Odin and Fenrir will rage for a long time, but finally Fenrir will seize Odin and swallow him. Odin's son Vidar will at once leap towards the wolf and kill him with his bare hands, ripping the wolf's jaws apart.

Then Surt will fling fire in every direction. The nine worlds will burn, and friends and foes alike will perish. The earth will sink into the sea.

After the destruction, a new and idyllic world will arise from the sea and will be filled with abundant supplies. Some of the gods will survive, others will be reborn. Wickedness and misery will no longer exist and gods and men will live happily together.
