Easy question, which Bethesda game is better Fallout(1 2 3 or vegas) or Oblivion/elder scrolls?

Only Fallout 3 and New Vegas were released by Bethesda. The ones before Fallout 3 were published by Interplay, and made by Black Ilse Studios except for a few.

Both series are great in their own way, though. Fallout 3 is silly fun, and the Elder Scrolls titles are great huge world games. I can't say which is better because I adore both so much, and both series have a different feel.

They're both very great games. But i'd rather play oblivion if i had to choose between the two.

I would say the Elder Scrolls, I have spent much more time with it, but you do get overly powerful by the end. Hopefully Interplay will put out a good Fallout game, because they will almost definitely win the counter lawsuit. Bethesda is so stupid.

Benpsycho : Bethesda owns the rights to the Fallout series. Interplay sold those rights to them. In just about every RPG you get overly powerful if you over level. In fact, I'm doing that in Fallout 2 when I'm not busy with Skyrim or Ultima VII right now. I'm even trying to reach the soft cap in Skyrim.

It's no big deal, by the way, Coda. People aren't always in the know. I'm extremely OCD(have that disorder, by the way) when it comes to this stuff. At least you learned something. Black Ilse Studio closed down a while ago, which is mainly why Interplay sold the series off to Bethesda. Yeah, gaming and keeping up with the facts of who puts out what is almost always confusing. At least it's not like that Sonic RPG Bioware made where they kept on advertising themselves.

Sorry, my post wasn't too specific, I was referring to the Fallout MMO currently in production, though there is a chance they could actually produce a "Fallout 4" because of the counter-lawsuit  they put out against Bethesda. Bethesda does own most of the rights, but Interplay kept the rights for a Fallout MMO. Bethesda keeps coming up with these ridiculous claims such as "we only let them use the name Fallout, not the actual content"(even though it says the exact opposite in the contract). That is why I said they were stupid. Anyway, what is a soft cap? You are probably right about the over powered thing, I generally just beat the story and I am done.

The Elder Scrolls!!!

I tried Morrowind and Oblivion a long time ago, I'm playing Daggerfall and I really want to buy Skyrim, this game is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawesome ^^

There is almost no comparison. The Elder Scrolls is simply better.

The Elder Scrolls franchise has actually had a few other games that aren't part of the main games. Red Guard is one of them. There was also a few phone based ones or something, which I can't get any information on. Even on the Wiki for the game series. For those who have ever played a dungeon crawler with a first person view, there was also such a game in the Elder Scrolls series.

There's maybe 7 Elder Scrolls games if you count the spin-offs. Yes, I spend too much time reading wikia sites for video games.

I, honestly, love New Vegas. I had just began getting into Fallout 2 a bit after I played New Vegas. Fallout 3 was my first Fallout game. New Vegas felt much more interesting to play as far as story goes. Even when I started playing Fallout 3 for the first time, I felt the story wasn't worth rushing through. Forget the dad, I wanna grab a million tin cans in sewers! I have a strange fixation on on collecting tin cans in Fallout 3.

What Fallout New Vegas lacked to me was reason to play again. Sure, I love me some gambling in a video game. I love the funny violence, but Fallout 3 just has some odd air to it. It seems more replayable to me. Oblivion began to become a weary soul to me after putting over 500 hours it seems in total counting all the gameplay I have done in the game ever on any character. There wasn't much to do for me after playing with a few characters. I had done the same quests after quests, and it just felt like I wasn't enjoying myself.

I love Oblivion, but the game suffers from growing old after you've played through a large amount of it so much. Skyrim seems to be much, much less plagued by lacking excitement. Of course, I've had Skyrim since I got it at a late night release party over at the local gaming store. Maybe the newness of the game is what is talking right now.
