David, what do you think of the packers record against the 49'ers?

This time I only ended up putting this thread off to the side by a month due to being busy. To see just how busy I am (and how busy I'm going to be), here's a screenshot of how many unread Private Messages and Notifications I currently have:

As of this post (well when I started typing it), I have 424 unread PMs and 341 Notifications.


earthwarrior : Cometchat was added back a few weeks ago and I think it's here to stay. I still have yet to make it available to more than just staff and elite users. Depending on how much strain it cuases, I may make it available to Trusted Members and/or members who buy a "Chat Bar" item in the item shop for Viz.

megamanmaniac : I'm not sure why my posts would be more serious not as compared to years ago, the only 2 reasons I can think of is 1. I'm older and 2. The site keeps me far more busy which results into more stressed at times.

pacman1755 : The Ask Anything threads don't bother me at all, as long as they're not spammy and generating good posts, I'm all for them.

Barathemos : I spent a lot of December fixing things, advertising the site and spending time with family.

thenoobtester : I did plan on adding new stuff and fixing stuff with this month's Tour de Vizzed but I never found time to do it.

RetroGamer9000 : I would love it if users did Lets Plays of games in the Retro Game Room, that's one of the best ways of advertising the site and it offers great content to those who are doing the videos.

megamanmaniac : I definitely think I'll one day make it to 100,000 posts but it'll probably be at least 14 years from now (when I'm 42). As for 1 million posts, based on the fact that I've been averaging 5000 posts a year for the past few years now and based on the fact that I currently have around 30,000 posts, it'd take me 194 years to reach 1 million posts so I think it's safe to say that is a milestone I'll never hit unless I start averaging 20,000 posts a year and even if I did, it'd still take 48+ years to reach that goal (which would mean I'd reach it at the age of 76 if I did 20,000 posts a year) but since I don't think my average yearly post count will ever go above 5000 posts, there's no way I'll ever hit 1 million posts.

1 million posts is such a massive number when you think about it, the total number of posts on the board still hasn't reached 1 million posts and the board has been around for 9+ years and has had posts from 21,232 different users.

This post has actually got me really curious about if I'll ever reach the other milestones you listed (based on my average of 5000 posts a year). 500,000 posts would take me 97 years which is also impossible (unless I somehow live past 120 and am able to type well at an old age). 250,000 posts would take me around 48 years which is possible because that'd mean I'd be 76 years old once I've accomplished that (or maybe even older since my posting rate will decrease with age, especially due to being old) but I think it's safe to say that the biggest posting milestone I'll get will be 250,000 posts and that's assuming something doesn't happen to the site (or the internet in general) between now and 48 years from now.

mohammedroxx3 : I don't remember what the CometChatTest1 and CometChatTest2 users are for, possibly users I made for the cometchat workers to use in order to test out my cometchat bar for me.

pinky27 : I originally created vizzed to be a game design website, than it evolved into a forum and than it evolved into a gaming community with an awesome game room and eventually it'll evolve yet again.

It is a great knowing that this site offers so many different games for so many different target audiences. It literally has something for everyone.

Bintsy : Somedays I get very little sleep and other days I sleep in to make up for it lol. The site does keep me pretty busy though so thankfully the site generates enough revenue after site and server fees for me to live off of so that I can continue working on the site full time, otherwise I don't know how I'd be able to manage keeping this site up.

alexanyways : I'm loving the Xbox One, they weren't kidding when they said it was a multitasking system. You can be playing a game, switch to an app and switch back to the game and still be in the same spot in the game and switching back and forth between apps and games is nearly instant. Plus I love being able to have 2 things open at the same time side by side, it's very convenient.

yoshirulez! : Randy, who was admin and second in command at the time, wanted Vizzed Board to upgrade to the latest acmlm code which meant the database had to start over resulting into all the site data starting fresh again. There was also a Vizzed Board before that one and that one went down due to someone deleting all of the users from the database which caused me to have to start everything fresh again.

Hopefully the site never has to experience a "restart" again.

I still have the database of the previous Vizzed Board but I haven't got around to making it available again. I'll do this eventually when I have more time because I would personally love to look back at all of the old users and posts again to relive some great memories.

megamanmaniac : My parents never really knew about my site until after I moved out. Even than my Dad thought I should get a real job but I think he's finally accepted the fact that me working on this site is my career and future.

kidcop : I've never played Terraria but the funny thing is, I bought it when it was on sale on the Xbox 360 so I do own the full version, I just have yet to try it out. It seems a lot like Minecraft which is why I got it. I love Minecraft so I should live Terraria, especially since it looks like an old side scrolling platform (which is probably my favorite genre).

pokemon x : Creating my layout, including coding and creating the graphics, probably took me 8+ hours. A few of those hours went into coming up with a unique design, some of that time went into coming up with a hidden message, some of that time went into creating it in Photoshopa nd some of that time went into coding it.

I wouldn't care if someone used the code from my layout but it's nothing fancy and I'd probably want some credit.

Barathemos : I'm not a fan of the Grand Theft Auto series for moral reasons.

Barathemos : Christmas was ok this year, could've definitely been better. New Years was lame too lol, when you have kids you don't really celebrate new years anymore.

Brenman213 : The site doesn't have a blog and nor do I but I've always wanted to add a blog feature to vizzed.

Barathemos : The only way to earn an Elite position is to have been a staff member. It's rare but we also sometimes give out the position to very high contributors of the site.

Bintsy : I work on the site on average around 8 hours a day but sometimes it's more. I am on and off the site a lot throughout the day though, between checking up on various things and just monitoring the site.

Chindogu : I don't think I have the skills to mod a game.

tRIUNE is a great Administrator, probably the best the site has ever had.

The Tour de Vizzed does get carried away and I have to find a way to end it because some staff members no longer want the Tour de Vizzed to exist.

Barathemos : I think it's pathetic that the Packers can't stop Colin Kaepernick. There's 2 teams the Packers cannot beat for some reason and that's the New York Giants and the 49ers (with Kaepernick anyway) and those 2 teams the Packers have had to face in the playoffs 4 times in the past 8 years.

So, only way to get elite is to be staff or get 500,000,000 cp... Right?

Well, looks like I got to wait quite a while to change my IP for my netplay server... oh well. those netplay newbies gotta be patient. XD

Barathemos : Trust me, you do not want that many PMs or Notifications, it's a very very stressful and overwhelming feeling to have to worry about going through that many. To be honest, it'll probably take me 50-100 hours to get through all of them and on top of that, I have probably 30+ read PMs I have to go through as well and each of those 30 PMs will probably require an hour or more of my time on average.

Also, since the site keeps me too busy to even get to my PMs and Notifications sometimes, it's not possible for me to dedicate a few days straight on going through them. The most time I'm usually able to invest into going through PMs and Notifications is around 16 hours a week and some weeks I have things come up where I don't have any time to get to them and that results into me getting even further behind.

No one could ever get 500 million CP.

the 500 million was just an example. Well, maybe not THAT many, but I want more then 8 notifications and 1 PM.

Why can I not edit the game content on the game page?

Barathemos : Users with negative trust points cannot submit content to game pages.

Barathemos : That's just the way it's coded, I just figured that if someone had negative trust points than there must be a reason why they have negative trust points and therefore shouldn't be trusted with submitting content to game pages.

Barathemos : It's not easy to get down rated by as many staff members as you have been down rated by so that's all your fault, you can't cast that blame on me, the rules or my feature. You need to learn to admit your faults otherwise you wont be able to fix your mistakes and mature from them.

How many PMs total do you have in your PM Box?

For example, I have 4121 PMs in my PM Box over the past 3+ years.

I know you obviously have far more, having been here longer AND being the site owner, but I'm curious just how many you have in total.

Do you have a job or 2 outside of Vizzed?
