So pretty much, this is a thread where people post things like PC games that are like the famous game, Minecraft. 

I'm making this because I cant find a single game for the computer that is quite like it. I'm looking for a game where you can build things, like buildings, and you can also craft things from items like swords, glass, fishing rods, beds, that kind of thing. Also, it has to have fighting in it, because all you can do in the free version of mine craft is build and take apart. Any suggestions?

It only makes sense to talk about Minecraft in here really, since one of the only other known Minecraft-esque game is Terraria. That already has a thread on site.

Minecraft is fun though.

yeah, it is. i made this though because i really want the new version of minecraft, but its to much money. oh well. i just wish the free version had crafting.

Though the game is really fun I found that it got a little bit old after a while. I still enjoy the game every now and again but it would be a lot better with friends.

yeah, well i dont really want to do it that bad oh well. its still fun trying to build a castle. ignore the thing at the end, i had to switch to a crappy computer.

Anyway, I've been trying to build an entire world out of things in real life and anime.

Try Terraria. It is a great game, and it is a lot like Minecraft but with a ton more things to do.

I have an old version of Minecraft. I think it's Infdev. Haven't played it for a while. I know I always sucked at making houses, so I always made forts in the side of mountains. And I reset quite a few times.

Terraria does look fun, but I'm looking for something more.... 3D.

If it were a poll I Would've gone for Minecraft.....its really good (gets better if you pay for it)........the thing that really lurks me towards it are the artistic structures that people create on it.......amazeng things people do.....

Terraria's pretty good I must admit, but the best Minecraft alternative: Real Legos. I know it's not a game but Legos really show your creative outlet and all and it's just really fun!

Minecraft its okay but I don't think its worth the money. you see my dad when he got Minecraft me got charged three times that's triple the money and it cost 7,99 that's not worth it. and its not that fun all you do is dig holes and make a house. and it looks weird I don't know how its so popular. it cost 7,99 when you can get a free game that's 50 times better. for example angry birds, 100 floors, all that stuff and you play   Minecraft.     

The problem with Terraria is that the development team discontinued the game, so there are no more updates. Not just that, but Terraria is more adventure based game than creative, so after you beat the three last bosses and get the Excalibur etc. It seems like it ends there and setting up personal achievements is difficult since you basically did everything possible. While in minecraft you are continuously creating things in an endless cycle, both in creative and survival. The only time I play in Terraria now is when I can find two or more friends and all play online at the same time, creating all new characters on a whole new map and see how far we can go and what we can do in the short time we play. Honestly, it's much more fun that way, trying to steal all the items before your friends so. Loved every time I found a life crystal or Gold early game that my friend would rage spam text for 3 seconds. It was also how I learned to port forward at the time, lol.
