I had a dream that I was being hunted by the girl from The Grudge. Luckly just before she got me I forced myself awake. Was very scary.

No I don't usually remember my dreams. I haven't remembered one for a couple of years...

Have you ever had one of those dreams that just sets your mood for the whole day?
Well I did last night, and that dream has left me feeling very mellow and slightly depressed.

The thing is, the dream was SO completely unrealistic! I don't know why in the world it is affecting me so!

You know how supposedly, a chicken with its head cuts off can run around and appear to be 'alive' for some time after the dismembering? Well, in my dream, that was possible with humans. (Probably one of the most bizarre dreams I've EVER had.)

Well, in this dream, all of my immediate family was living together, and for some reason, each of us was trying to meet or break a record.

 For me, that record just happened to be 'cut your head off and complete a day's work under that challenge'. Apparently it was a very dangerous thing that had to do with care or you could kill yourself. Now, in real life, if this WAS possible, I can GUARANTEE there is absolutely no way I'd even be remotely interested.

The dream started with me having already cut my head off and gone a day doing normal tasks. (No gore was involved, really)
It was the end of the day and my job now was simply to re-connect my head. Apparently, you simply had to place your head back on the neck stub and just make sure that it stayed perfectly align and in place for several hours, and the flesh would fuse back together.

Well, the longer you went with your head not attached, the harder it became to breathe or move, and I had waited until the very last possible movement, so I was struggling to breathe while trying to make sure that the spine of both surfaces lined up and everything.

Then, I kept having to do tasks, which made it difficult to keep my head still and place, so I still felt pressured to breathe with ease.  I was laboring to get some air, and I kept  having to reach up and hold my head in place.  You could see the ring around my neck too, from where I had made the cut, and I kept thinking about how that scar would always be there.  Then, every time I looked in a mirror, my head was at a totally weird angle and I kept thinking about how, for the rest of my life, my head would be misaligned and people would give me strange looks for being deformed/ appearing to be handicapped.  So I kept stressing and stressing, reaching up to hold my head, trying to realign it, checking the mirrors.  Then, for some reason a small detail changed and instead of the 'cut line' being around my neck, it was at the corners of my mouth and around, separating my bottom jaw from my top jaw.  When that happened, I stressed about lining my bottom lip with my top lip by twisting the top part of my head around slightly.  But no matter what small adjustments I made, it still wouldn't line up properly.

To make things even stranger, the dream seemed to be going on at the same time as another dream (like there was another dimension).  In this dream, I was in a very large room where some clown like thing was killing or harming others.  I just remember that my head still had the 'cut ring' around the neck, and that I was lying on the floor against a wall.  The room seemed empty accept for me though.  That really is the only part I ever saw or was aware of, but this part of the dream was so subtle that it might as well have not been there.


There was another part of my dream that bothered me, on a much more emotional level.  It was enough to make me cry in the dream and even as I woke up.  Forget all the crazy stuff.  I NEVER dream like that.  So let's pretend none of that existed.

Before I woke up, my twin had joined me in my dream to help me out.  I don't remember what she said, but she joked with me, and she smiled at me.

She smiled at me.

Even in my dream, it affected me so much that I stopped and was sad.  Because I realized it was a dream.  I thought in my dream "Ah, so this is it.  I'm dreaming.  If only me and her got along and she would REALLY smile at me.  In real life.  She has a beautiful smile.  It's nice to see her happy with me."

I woke up then.  I made myself wake up because I knew it was too unreal to be a dream.  The cutting of heads wasn't enough.

It took the smile of my twin to make me realize I was dreaming.

I can't type any more.  I need to go wipe a few tears.

I rarely remember any of my dreams. At most, I remember about two minutes of my dream, but that is about it.
