When I was at the charter school I went to, we had a school uniform (blue or white shirt, blue or tan pants). I'm pretty sure tucking in my shirt was a requirement. I know it wasn't in middle and high school (public schools ).

*sigh* Yes, I have to tuck in my shirt at my school. They say it makes me look smarter, and makes the school more presentable. It's annoying, but I can't really argue with that. It's just one of the things I have to deal with. Besides, I've been told it so much that it's become second nature to me.

I don't anymore.  In 5th grade I had to and all though out middle school because it was for the dress code.  I am not sure why but from what I could gather it was to try to prevent students from bringing weapons to school and or to look formal.  Now that I am in high school I don't have to and I am so happy I don't.

In my high school, I did not have to tuck in my shirt. The dress code was strict, but it wasn't ridiculously strict. Though a lot of people complained, I understood and had no problems with pretty much everything stated in the dress code. They were in no way unreasonable. 

However, now that I am interning (what I do the semester before I start student teaching), I have to dress more professionally, so I now do have to tuck in my shirt when I go to this high school. It will take a little getting used to having to do that again. Haven't really had to do that since I was in forensics.
