I think this should go beyond a simple auto-mafia victory. I propose to options. 1) If the mafia are caught cheating in this fashion, there should be an auto-bystander victory. Or we could go with 2) where the game is automatically ended with neither side winning because part of the guess work involved has been tainted.

Beyond that, I have one other idea --though I doubt anyone will like this. If it feels necessary, why not also punish cheaters by refusing to allow them to participate in the following round of Mafia? It's like a pseudo-ban for them. They can enter Innocent Town and watch the match, but they are not allowed to join in. After that round ends, they can sign up and play again. This would be left up to the discretion of the person in charge of the game --in this case, legacyme3.

Sorry for another zombie post, but I'd like to address the issue at hand as well.

Indeed, Mike seems to have told people different things, just for fun. He told me that one person was the godfather and he apparently told snow something different. I didn't tell anyone alive who it was, because a)That's cheating and b)I don't trust the information. Now I am wondering if it's possible that mike was simply telling people different things in the hopes that they would cheat; so that either the mafia would win by default as Legacyme3 suggested, or so that the bystanders would get false information from those cheaters. I disapprove of that, and question the ethics of all involved. I have been asked several times in unrelated events to give information once I have been dead in these games, and refuse each time. Well in most cases, if the mafia cheats it doesn't really benefit them since their job is to mislead bystanders. The worst I can really do is give them the one round penalty.

As for what you suggested, that was also my idea, and I have two or three people who could suffer a one round ban from mafia.

Well I'm not really that surprised something like this happened, but it still shouldn't have. I'm curious to know just who everybody is that received information about the godfather. I'm thinking that whoever knows should quit this round and leave the rest to play. That way the game can still continue untainted all the way to the finish. Because I guarantee that if this wasn't brought up the somebody would accuse the godfather next round and be persistent about it. Is it really that hard to stay quiet about stuff like this, guys? It's stupid that gossip is part of human nature. I never did see any benefits from it.

I'm sort of done with the game as it is so I'm fine with the Mafia winning even though they didn't stand a chance of actually winning at this point. Well, it would have been a very slim victory.

I've rendered a verdict.

I'm going to allow this game to continue, but I'm also going to punish those who broke the rules.

Heh, the sheriff now? The mafia may only have a slim chance of winning, but slim is all that is needed. Especially is somebody doesn't stand out much. Going on who Someone accused during the last round, is there a good reason, Sunflowergaming was on her list? I'm looking back at who all had roles during the last game and who didn't, although I'm not sure if that's really appropriate. I don't think she had one, among a bunch of others, and so I figure that most of those unknown have/had roles in this game. Sunflower may be one of them. Whether she's the godfather remains to be seen. But, I'm guessing she has a special role this time around. Maybe Someone could shed a bit more info on her reasoning?

Wow, the bystander killed and there was cheating in IRC. Didn't see who it was, unfortunately, so we have to keep playing the guessing game. I think I'll No Kill for now, not sure who is thug or gf right now.

Cyro Xero : I accused Sunflower because she seemed to be protecting Mike before, although to hardly any avail. Also, she's been-- not defensive-- but certainly passive this round, trying to deflect whatever suspicion comes her way. Like, if you see a couple of her posts before, it looks like she's trying to downplay how suspicious it was that she didn't vote for Mike. Anyways, that's my take on it. I still accuse Sunflower because it's the best lead we got right now.

And about the whole cheating ordeal, I think leggy's punishment will suffice for them. It's easy to get away with something like that on a game like Mafia, so this whole thing is done on an honor system. And when that trust is broken, it just ruins the sport of the game. So, sorry to those caught in the middle of it, but cheaters never win and winners never cheat. =/

Hmm I do not know who to point the finger at right now. Who ever is the God Father is a bit creative with who they want to kill off. They seem to take out the LPT and not the HPT... that is strange way of playing.

I will see what happens.

Well Someone pretty much said it. They are low just because they can not touch the Godfather, I am saying that the Godfather is taking out none of the revolutionaries like I would expect.

Dang. Only twelve left with two of them being thugs. This could be a close match once again despite earlier... antics. It's a shame that tdm2 really was just clueless. I'm going to vote for SunflowerGaming.

Edit: geeogree has convinced me to change my vote --if it is not too late to do so. I have not heard much from NOELIA during this whole game, so I am going to vote for her.

I have to vote NO KILL, only because it would be stupid to vote for myself and I honestly do not know who to suspect now.

As for the cheating, I really don't know what to say about that, I'm disappointed in some people for cheating. I think leggy was fair in his decision. I really have nothing else to say about the matter.

I'll vote for sunflowergaming only because that was the second person on the list pf people to accuse for GF. My guess was Total but that was wrong. Now i'm not sure at all who to accuse anymore.
