Favre has 1 super bowl ring but it'd be nice to see him win 1 more super bowl before retiring, hasn't won a super bowl in over 10 years.

What Favre is doing now kind of pisses me off. Although it would be nice for HIM to have another ring, he retired. It's almost an insult to the Packers for him to put the team through all this just because he made a mistake and still wants to play.

On another note, Tiger supposedly won't have been the first athelete to be a billionaire (it's a little known fact but I don't remember the first guy's name) and in addition, he hasn't made that much quite yet. He's on pace to, though.

I think the Packers should suck it up. Put their rodgers plan off for another year or so and bring the old boy back. Favre is like a god in wisconsin. People have shrines and posters of him everywhere. The packers would lose large fan support if they let Favre go, or he wanted to come back and they just wouldn't let him.

Well, Brett's being a bit of an ass. If he didn't want to retire then he shouldn't have. Besides, now he's looking to go to a division rival, the Vikings.

Right about now it sucks to be a Packer fan because without Favre they aren't even going to make the playoffs. 2 reasons, Aaron Rodgers is easily injured, and if he gets injured once, he'll be out a few games. Second reason is, Madden 09 predicted it (without favre). It's almost as if Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy don't want to go anywhere with the Packers. They could've played the year with one of the best QB's in the NFL and could've done as good as they did last year with the possibility of doing even better, but they threw that opportunity away. And to bad for Brett, he's going no where with the Jets which he's been traded to. So both sides got screwed out of this deal and to make things worst, Brett will probably be going to the hall of fame as a New York Jet.

Kind of a retarded situation

We will have to see how well he performs with a whole new team. Still a stupid decision on whose ever end it was to not allow Farve to play for the packers... that is his trademark.

The Packers knew Favre would retire and so they promised Rodgers that he'd be the starter next year. The people inside the organization didn't want to look bad so they stuck with their decision. In addition, Favre isn't one of the best in the NFL anymore (he's top 10, even top 8, but not top 5)

I watched every single game, half of his interceptions weren't his fault, either the receiver bounced it around until someone else got it, someone wasn't running their route, a receiver tipped it up high enough for someone else to catch it, etc

Also, fans hyped Favre too much last season, it wasn't one of his best. Besides, that wouldn't explain some of his worst years with 20+ picks. Still, I think he'll be great for the Jets, too. He still has 2 good receivers (Coles and Cotchery).

We'll see what happens but I think the Jets wont even make the playoffs, they are really bad, last season they were 4-12 and I don't think the packers are gonna do to well without Favre. Lose and lose situation all around.

Hey, I said FAVRE would be great with them. The team still isn't very good (to put it nicely) but he might make them a wild-card, possibly.

Also, the defense helped carry the Packers to, as well as Ryan Grant. Don't underestimate them, they will still win the division
